Differential effects of renal denervation on skin and muscle sympathetic nerve traffic in resistant and uncontrolled hypertension

ConclusionsThese data provide the first evidence that RDN exerts heterogeneous effects on sympathetic cardiovascular drive, inducing a marked reduction in MSNA but not in SSNA, which appears to be within the normal range in this condition.These effects may depend on the different reflex modulation regulating neuroadrenergic drive in these cardiovascular districts.
