Tracheostomy Complications: Insights from a Two-Year, 15-Case Analysis at a Tertiary Care Facility
The objective of this case series was to analyse the complications that arise from tracheostomy procedures conducted in a tertiary healthcare facility throughout a two-year timeframe. Fifteen occurrences of complications were observed out of the 100 tracheostomies that were studied, suggesting a prevalence rate of 15%. The detected complications included subcutaneous emphysema, misplacement of the tube, infection at the surgical site, and tracheal stenosis, among various others. Expression of nectin-4 in prostate cancer
CONCLUSION: We found that nectin-4 was not expressed in prostate cancer tissues but was expressed in ASAP-and benign prostate gland containing tissues. We believe that prospective studies with more patients and samples including radical prostatectomy materials will reveal the relationship between nectin-4 and prostate cancer more clearly.PMID:37829757 | PMC:PMC10565758 | DOI:10.14744/nci.2023.36034 (Source: Clinical Prostate Cancer)

Treatment and outcomes of minor salivary gland cancers of the larynx and trachea: a systematic review
CONCLUSIONS: In case of MiSGC of the larynx and trachea, surgery remains the mainstay of treatment. Adjuvant treatments are frequently delivered. Survival estimates are good overall, but highly heterogeneous.PMID:37814980 | DOI:10.14639/0392-100X-N2635 (Source: Acta Otorhinolaryngologica Italica)

Hemicricoidectomy with modified rotational thyro-crico-tracheal anastomosis: a newborn in the family of crico-tracheal resection and anastomosis techniques
CONCLUSIONS: With the proper indications, Type E CTRA is a feasible and effective conservative surgical technique for selected non-squamous cell subglottic tumours.PMID:37814978 | DOI:10.14639/0392-100X-N2623 (Source: Acta Otorhinolaryngologica Italica)
