Becoming a psychologist with arrest record
Hey there! I'm new to this website, and I know there are a couple of threads with this same topic, but I have yet to see a thread with these specific questions and I'm really hoping y'all can help! TLDR at the end So here's the deal... my friend got arrested when she was eighteen because she was caught smoking marijuana. She was charged with four felonies (they were all bs, but what can you do) and was accepted into a pretrial diversion program. She is currently enrolled in the program and... Reapplicant: What is left of last cycle's application??
Sorry guys, I tried searching this forum and couldn't find an answer to my specific question. Does anyone know if dental schools can see your last cycle's application if you are reapplying?? For example, previous personal statement or things that you put down on your activities?? It's not that I'm trying to hide or change something (well actually I kind of am....) but I'm really concerned about my personal statement because I actually submitted with a spelling error (literally just one... Are there still lifestyle specialties besides derm?
Do lifestyle specialties still exist besides derm? By "lifestyle," I mean high salary, good hours, and good job market (job security). Anesthesiology is suffering from mid-level encroachment by CRNA's. Volume is going way up in radiology, and you're expected to read super fast all day with almost no breaks (not to mention sitting all day, which is "the new smoking" in terms of health effects). Anything surgical is automatically not lifestyle because the hours blow. What's left? (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Cigarette Break During DAT Break
Hi guys! I've used the search function to answer my question, but to no avail. Please forgive me if this concern has already been addressed. I am planning to take the DAT later this month and I understand that there is an optional 15 minute break after the PAT section. I am also a heavy smoker. (Yes I understand it's a disgusting habit.) I was wondering if it's allowed to bring in a pack of cigarettes, whether opened or unopened, to the prometric testing center. I understand that all of... LUCOM standards
from their website "Behavioral standards which include the prohibition of drug, alcohol and tobacco use, coed residence halls, and sexual promiscuity." Do they mean you're not allowed to smoke drink etc at all? How would they find out if a student did? Are people not allowed to have sex? Do students get kicked out for this? Just curious cause I've seen some interesting comments about LUCOM on this site so decided to look up their actual standards. It's interesting. (Source: Student Doctor Network)
