Managers' and employees' experiences of how managers' wellbeing impacts their leadership behaviours in Swedish small businesses
CONCLUSION: This study shows that the wellbeing of managers in small businesses has perceptible consequences for their leadership behaviours. The study also shows that sustained leadership behaviours may coexist with temporary variations of these behaviours on a constructive-destructive continuum depending on the leader's wellbeing. Overall, the findings contribute to a more nuanced and dynamic understanding of how the interaction between managers' wellbeing and their behaviours unfolds in the particular context of small companies.PMID:36591688 | DOI:10.3233/WOR-220159 (Source: Work)

Office design and occupational health – has research been left behind?
Tens of millions of workers in Europe work in office environments. Such a physical environment might seem fairly harmless compared to the exposures of many other work environments. Paid Sick Leave Among Working Cancer Survivors and Its Associations With Use of Preventive Services in the United States
CONCLUSIONS: In the United States, more than one-third of all working cancer survivors and more than half of survivors working for small employers and in certain occupations/industries lack paid sick leave. Survivors with lower household income or educational attainment are particularly vulnerable. Moreover, lack of paid sick leave is associated with lower use of some recommended preventive services, suggesting that ensuring working cancer survivors have access to paid sick leave may be an important mechanism for reducing health disparities.PMID:36351332 | DOI:10.6004/jnccn.2022.7058 (Source: Journal of the National Compre...
