High School Courses?
Hello, I am currently a student in high school preparing to enter a career in veterinary medicine. I am planning on taking a degree in animal science. I wondered what high school classes would be recommended to help boost my chances of acceptance. I have an overall average of 94% so grades aren't an issue, I just want to make sure that I take all of the recommended courses before graduation to make my transition as easy as possible. Thanks to everyone! (Source: Student Doctor Network)

CUSM MBS vs CNU COM MPS to MD pathway
Hello I recently got into these two programs, would anyone recommend one over the other? I like CUSM’s MBS program but can any alumni give me advice if the conditional acceptance pathway is worth a try? Both of these programs are around the same price. I graduated with a cgpa 3.85 and a 3.8 science gpa and considering these programs to get a shot at medical school. Would you recommend this if you were in my situation? I really don’t need to raise my grades, but I have been away from school... Read more (Source: Student Doctor Network)

LOR: Quality vs Quantity?
Just wanted to ask this here because I've heard conflicting advice and am also not sure where to find compiled information on what letters schools want. Would this amount of LORs be sufficient: 2 strong science professors 1 strong non-science professor 1 from my PI Hesitant on getting another from a doctor I am going to start working for before the cycle begins, and for the advisor of an organization I'm in that doesn't really communicate with the students. I'm just concerned because I've... Read more (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Letters of recommendation as an older non-trad?
Hi all, Lots of great answers on this community already but haven't seen a recent post on this so here goes. Super nontrad looking to apply soon (I graduated undergrad in 2012, have PhD, currently work as a tenure-track faculty member in STEM). I'm looking at letter of rec requirements and see medical schools want letters from at least one, sometimes two, science faculty. Well, I'm so far out of undergrad that one of the science profs I worked the most with has since passed away, the other... Read more (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Applying this Cycle?
Hello, This is my first time posting on here, so I'm sorry if this is the wrong place or format. I'm a sophomore in undergrad right now, and I'm wondering whether I should apply for med school this cycle or the next. I'm planning on graduating a year early, so applying this cycle would mean I go straight to med school without any gap years. I feel ready to apply, but I'm unsure if my age when applying (19) would put me at a disadvantage. Demographics: - Science GPA : 4.0 Overall GPA: 4.0... Read more (Source: Student Doctor Network)
