Science GPA Question
HI there! I have about 5-6 credits of research under the Civil Engineering Department; however my research was mainly Chemistry, and my PI is under both the CE and Chem department, but I ended up having to register under CE. Could I reclassify those credits to count as Chem instead on the AMCAS app, and would they adjust it back because of the course code? (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Does eras application ask for all medical schools i attended?
I was recently academically dismissed from my DO school after the first semester of failing 2 classes. I wasn’t allowed to remediate the coursework. And I’m currently taking postbac courses to learn the foundational concepts that I was lacking in my first semester of medical school. I want to go to the carribean and try again after a year or two of biomedical science coursework.
If I do well in the carribean and apply through ERAS will they ask for all medical schools I’ve attended? (Source: Student Doctor Network)

WAMC Non-Trad/Vet 3.48/522
Hello SDN friends,
Currently active duty, looking to apply in the '24 cycle. Some family health issues that have developed over the past few years have me wanting to move home to the DC/Baltimore area. This is extremely important to me. I graduated from the Naval Academy a couple of years ago, I was interested in medicine in undergrad but ultimately decided to join the submarine force. Training post-graduation included Nuclear Power School, where we take a bunch of college-level science and...

Low GPA to Informal Post Bacc
Hello,
I'm a premed who recently graduated from Cal last spring (2020) with a degree in Cognitive Science. Due to several factors, my cumulative GPA was 2.3. Terrible, I know, but will this make it truly impossible to ever get into medical school?
Based on preliminary research, it seems that the best way forward would be to do an informal post-bacc and raising my GPA to something above 3.0 at least. For the informal post-bacc, I was planning on taking courses either at UCI or Irvine Valley...

Would this count towards my BCPM gpa for AMCAS/TMDSAS?
I am a Neuroscience major and am planning on taking a course that falls under the Neuroscience department. However my main concern is that although the course that I am taking is classified as "NSC", the course description is more on the humanities side. I'm more confident that this course would apply towards my science gpa for TMDSAS but am still unsure about AMCAS.
NSC 4381 Health Disparities in Neuroscience - Real and/or perceived differences in race/ethnic origin, sex/gender/sexual...

Doctor of Clinical Laboratory Science (DCLS) filling Medical Director roles
Mass General Brigham on LinkedIn: We welcome Ryan Mize, DCLS, MHA and Daniel Dees, DCLS, CC(NRCC), MLS(ASCP)… | 39 comments
I guess DCLS (Doctor of Clinical Laboratory Science) graduates are now able to work as pathology medical directors. Not laboratory supervisors, but MEDICAL DIRECTORS...! For those who don't know, DCLS programs are online programs designed for medical lab scientists/medical technologists. These programs aren't really comparable to traditional Ph.D. programs as...
