Factors Associated with Antiretroviral Therapy Adherence Among a Community-Based Sample of Sexual Minority Older Adults with HIV
This study utilized a stochastic search variable selection (SVSS) approach to explore potential psychosocial and structural factors associated with HIV-related health outcomes among a community-based sample of older sexual minorities (N  = 150) in South Florida, an U.S. HIV-epidemic epicenter. After SVSS, a forward entry regression approach suggested unstable housing, illicit substance use, current nicotine use, and depression were all associated with poorer ART adherence among older sexual minority adults living with HIV. No a ssociations between potential correlates and biological measures of HIV disease severity wer...

Second-line tests in the differential diagnosis of neoplastic and non-neoplastic hypercortisolism: a systematic review and meta-analysis
DiscussionBoth Dex-CRH and Desmopressin tests can be valid tools in helping discrimination between NNH/pCS and CS. Further studies are needed on this topic, possibly focusing on mild Cushing ’s Disease and well-characterized NNH/pCS patients.Systematic review registrationhttps://www.crd.york.ac.uk/prospero/display_record.php?ID=CRD42022359774, identifier CRD42022359774.

Oxytocin treatment for core symptoms in children with autism spectrum disorder: a systematic review and meta-analysis
ConclusionWhile the therapeutic value of oxytocin in treating core symptoms of ASD in children is not fully established, the results of this meta-analysis indicate a potential moderate effect. However, further studies with larger sample sizes and more robust RCTs are needed to directly demonstrate the efficacy of oxytocin. Future research should also focus on effect size and outcome evaluation accuracy while minimizing bias in RCT experiments.

Photocatalytic Free Radical-Controlled Synthesis of High-Performance Single-Atom Catalysts
In this study, we present a straightforward approach for preparing SACs utilizing a photocatalytic radical control strategy. Notably, we demonstrate for the first time that radicals generated during the photochemical process effectively hinder the aggregation of individual atoms. By leveraging the cooperative anchoring of nitrogen atoms and crystal lattice oxygen on the support, we successfully stabilize the single atom. Our Pd1/TiO2 catalysts exhibit remarkable catalytic activity and stability in the Suzuki-Miyaura cross-coupling reaction, which was 43 times higher than Pd/C. Furthermore, we successfully depose Pd atoms o...

Factors Related to Expectations in Individuals Waiting for Total Knee Arthroplasty
CONCLUSIONS: This questionnaire reliably measures patient expectations before TKA; however, further research is needed. Although we anticipated younger age to be related to higher expectations, higher function prior to TKA appears to be more strongly associated with higher expectations.PMID:37736415 | PMC:PMC10510534 | DOI:10.3138/ptc-2020-0141
