Viruses, Vol. 14, Pages 2515: Case Fatality of Hospitalized Patients with COVID-19 Infection Suffering from Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome in Germany
Conclusions: The case fatality of COVID-19 patients with ARDS is dramatically high and shows relevant regional disparities. Our findings may help to draw more attention to predictors for in-hospital case fatality in patients hospitalized with COVID-19 and suffering from ARDS.

Temporal trends in incidence, patient characteristics, microbiology and in-hospital mortality in patients with infective endocarditis: a contemporary analysis of 86,469 cases between 2007 and 2019
ConclusionsIn this contemporary cohort, incidence of IE increased over time and in-hospital mortality remained high (~  15%). Whilestaphylococcus andstreptococcus were the predominant microorganisms, bacteremia withstaphylococcus and Gram-negative pathogens were associated with higher likelihood of in-hospital mortality. Conclusion In conclusion, our data demonstrate that mTBI causes late sensorial affective/cognitive deficiencies linked to altered neurotransmitter release at cortical level. Conclusion and Outlook In this review, we have discussed the possible contributions of the fast-afferent somatosensory pathway, the intracortical integrative component and the fast-efferent corticomotor pathway to alterations of SAI in PD. We concluded that PD-related changes in SAI are most likely caused at the cortical level, where sensory input is rapidly integrated into a motor output. ConclusionsIn patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus receiving hemodialysis, cardiac TnT is associated with long-term mortality and cardiovascular outcomes. Concentrations of TnT not measurable with acceptable precision using a conventional TnT assay were associated with a poor prognosis when measured using a high-sensitivity assay.

The development of diabetes complications in GP-centered healthcare.
CONCLUSIONS: The results of the present study indicate that GP-centered healthcare is associated with a delay in the occurrence of serious diabetes complications and reduces the risk of diabetes complications.
