Association of Homocysteine with Acute Stroke and Its Subtypes in the Chinese Population
CONCLUSION: Plasma Hcy levels were found to be positively correlated with the risk of stroke, particularly in the context of LAA, SAO stroke, and HICH. Additionally, Hcy levels demonstrated a positive correlation with stroke severity in patients presenting with SAO stroke. These findings suggest potential clinical implications in stroke prevention, particularly for ischemic stroke (LAA, SAO subtypes) and HICH by employing homocysteine-lowering therapies. Prevalence, Incidence and Mortality of Stroke in China: Results from a Nationwide Population-Based Survey of 480,687 Adults.
CONCLUSIONS: -Stroke burden in China has increased over the last 30 years, and remains particularly high in rural areas. There is a north-to-south gradient in stroke in China, with the greatest stroke burden observed in the northern and central regions.

The associations of lipids and lipid ratios with stroke: A prospective cohort study
In conclusion, TC/HDL‐C ratio may better predict stroke risk in men, whereas TG was more valuable in predicting stroke risk in women. TC/HDL‐C and TG may help to discriminate high stroke risk individuals and serve as potential targets for stroke prevention.

Predictive Value of Cystatin C for Stroke Recurrence in Patients With Acute Ischemic Stroke.
CONCLUSIONS: In ischemic stroke patients with high hsCRP concentrations, higher CysC concentrations increased the risk of stroke recurrence and vascular events. This indicates that the predictive value of CysC on stroke recurrence may depend on the inflammation status of patients.

The contribution of plasma uric acid to the risk of stroke in hypertensive populations.
CONCLUSIONS: High UA level could significantly increase stroke risk in female hypertensive patients. Female hypertensive patients may benefit from managing UA at normal levels for stroke prevention.

Longitudinal Average Glucose Levels and Variance and Risk of Stroke: A Chinese Cohort Study.
