Keystone Heart looks to launch 3rd-gen TriGuard trials in 2017

Transcatheter aortic valve implantation: initial experience in Hong Kong.
CONCLUSIONS: Transcatheter aortic valve implantation has been developed as an alternative treatment for patients with symptomatic severe aortic stenosis who are deemed inoperable or high risk for surgery. Initial experience with percutaneous edge-to-edge transcatheter mitral valve repair in a tertiary medical center in Taiwan
Conclusion Trans-catheter edge-to-edge mitral valve repairs are safe and effective in Asians with symptomatic SMR, regarding the improvements of clinical symptoms and exercise capacities. MitraClips is also associated with reverse remodeling of pulmonary hypertension and left ventricular size in patients with SMR.

Surgical left atrial appendage occlusion in patients with atrial fibrillation undergoing mechanical heart valve replacement.
CONCLUSIONS: Concomitant SLAAO and MHVR was associated with longer length of stay, and cardiopulmonary bypass time and aortic cross-clamp time, but was not associated with additional protective effects against thromboembolic events and mortality during the 14-month follow-up. The current practice of transcatheter aortic valve replacement in China
ConclusionsAmong patients undergoing transcatheter aortic valve replacement in China, device implantation success was achieved in 97.85% of cases. The most common vascular access approach was transfemoral. General anesthesia was the most commonly used anesthetic technique. Paravalvular leakage (458 patients, 21.89%) was the most common complication.
