The potential long-term neurological improvement of early hyperbaric oxygen therapy on hemorrhagic stroke in the diabetics
Compared with ischemic stroke, intracerebral hemorrhage (ICH) is a kind of acute cerebral disorder with relatively worse neurobehavioral deterioration. The whole pathological progress of ICH is hasty and the onset of signs or symptoms commonly occurs within tens of minutes. It is believed that the onset of ICH is induced by potential complications of hypertension or diabetes [1]. Since the worldwide incidences of cardiovascular diseases (especially hypertension and diabetes) increase rapidly in recent years, the potential risk of ICH is also a rigorous challenge in these days [2].

Management of central retinal artery occlusion following successful hyperbaric oxygen therapy: case report.
Conclusion: Recovery of vision during initial HBO₂ treatment indicated that this patient's retina had not yet suffered irreversible ischemic damage at that point in time. CRAO patients with a good result from initial HBO₂ treatment should be admitted to a stroke center and should have their visual status monitored hourly. Should vision loss recur, aggressive use of intermittent 100% normobaric and hyperbaric oxygen is indicated to preserve retinal function until central retinal artery recanalization occurs. Cerebral arterial gas embolism from attempted mechanical thrombectomy: recovery following hyperbaric oxygen therapy.
Abstract Cerebral arterial gas embolism is a recognised complication of endovascular intervention with an estimated incidence of 0.08%. Its diagnosis is predominantly clinical, supported by neuroimaging. The treatment relies on alleviating mechanical obstruction and reversing the proinflammatory processes that contribute to tissue ischaemia. Hyperbaric oxygen-associated seizure leading to stroke.
We report an event in which a seizure and stroke occurred together and consider that the stroke may have been caused by seizure-induced demand ischaemia. This challenges the generally held view that oxygen toxicity seizures in the clinical hyperbaric setting are benign. A discussion of the literature on the subject of seizure-induced brain injury is included. Risk factors for cerebrovascular disease should be taken into consideration in determining treatment pressures for HBOT, as reducing pressure reduces seizure risk. Current treatment of central retinal artery occlusion: a national survey
ConclusionsThis survey shows that there is significant variability in treatment practices for acute CRAO in the US. Because of the high cerebrovascular and cardiovascular risk reported in this population of patients, it is notable that the approach to risk factor screening is also highly variable and many programs do not routinely refer patients to an emergency department for urgent evaluation. Finally, there appears to be equipoise among treatment teams regarding the efficacy of systemic fibrinolysis, as 53% of programs report a willingness to treat at least some patients with this modality.

Hyperbaric oxygen in patients with ischemic stroke following cardiac surgery: a retrospective observational trial.
CONCLUSIONS: HBO2₂ therapy was associated with significant improvement in patients with acute neurological deficits due to ischemic stroke following cardiac surgery. Though this fact suggests gas embolism as the most likely cause of stroke in this collective, other underlying pathologies cannot be ruled out. Randomized studies are needed for further evaluation. Hyperbaric oxygen therapy is associated with lower short- and long-term mortality in patients with carbon monoxide poisoning.
CONCLUSIONS: HBOT is associated with a lower mortality rate in patients with COP, especially in those who were younger than 20 years and those with acute respiratory failure.
