Electroacupuncture promotes motor function and functional connectivity in rats with ischemic stroke: an animal resting-state functional magnetic resonance imaging study.
CONCLUSION: EA at LI11 and ST36 could enhance the functional connectivity between the left motor cortex and the motor function-related brain regions, including the motor cortex, sensory cortex and striatum, in rats. EA exhibits potential as a treatment for ischemic stroke.

CONCLUSION: A trial of video-guided exercise is feasible, although an optimal main trial would require some relatively minor changes to design, outcome measures, eligibility, and the intervention.

Association of dissection features and primary collateral circulation with ischemic stroke in patients with spontaneous internal carotid artery dissection: Evaluated using vessel Wall-MRI and MRA
CONCLUSIONS: Both the poor primary collateral circulation and severe stenosis may play important role in occurrence of ischemic stroke for spontaneous ICAD patients and good primary collateral circulation can help to reduce the incidence of infarction.ADVANCES IN KNOWLEDGE: ICAD is one of the major causes of ischemic stroke. A study of the correlation between stroke and gut microbiota over the last 20years: a bibliometric analysis
ConclusionFindings suggest that in the next 10 years, the number of publications produced annually may increase significantly. Future research trends tend to concentrate on the mechanisms of stroke and gut microbiota, with the inflammation and immunological mechanisms, TMAO, and fecal transplantation as hotspots. And the relationship between these mechanisms and a particular cardiovascular illness may also be a future research trend.

Cerebral microbleeds and intracranial haemorrhage risk in patients anticoagulated for atrial fibrillation after acute ischaemic stroke or transient ischaemic attack (CROMIS-2): a multicentre observational cohort study

Mitochondrial protective effect of neferine through the modulation of Nrf2 signalling in ischemic stroke
Conclusions and implicationsThe data in this study demonstrated that Nef might have therapeutic potential for ischemic stroke and may exert its protective role through mitochondrial protection. In addition, this protection might be attributed to the modulation of Nrf2 signalling.

The acute stroke unit as a meaningful space: The lived experience of healthcare practitioners.
Abstract
This hermeneutic phenomenological study was undertaken in response to the recent re-organization of stroke unit provision in the United Kingdom. Through the analysis of four acute stroke unit practitioners' subjective accounts, the acute stroke unit emerged as a dynamic, meaningful space, where they experienced authenticity and belonging. Discrepancies between current and ideal endovascular stroke treatment practice in Europe and North America: Results from UNMASK EVT, a multidisciplinary survey.
CONCLUSION: In the majority of North American states/provinces and European countries covered in this study, the discrepancy between endovascular therapy decisions under current local resources and assumed ideal conditions seems to be small, even in countries with a limited economic status and healthcare infrastructure.

Timing of procedural stroke and death in asymptomatic patients undergoing carotid endarterectomy: individual patient analysis from four RCTs.
CONCLUSION: At least half of the procedural strokes in this study were ischaemic and ipsilateral to the treated artery. Half of all procedural complications occurred on the day of surgery, but one-third after day 3 when many patients had been discharged.
