Altered synchronous neural activities in retinal vein occlusion patients: A resting-state fMRI study
ConclusionOur study demonstrated that patients with RVO were associated with abnormal synchronous neural activities in the cerebellum, middle occipital gyrus, and inferior temporal gyrus. These findings shed new insight into neural mechanisms of vision loss in patients with RVO.

Central Retinal Artery Occlusion: Current Practice, Awareness and Prehospital Delays in Switzerland
ConclusionsCRAO awareness of the general population and physician awareness about the treatment options as well as the non-standardized prehospital organization, seems to be the main reason for the prehospital delays and impedes treating CRAO patients. Educational efforts should be undertaken to improve awareness about CRAO.

Response to the Letter to the Editor by Kishore et al.
We appreciate these comments on our recently published article on the referral pattern of patients with acute retinal arterial ischemia at our institution.1 As Dr. Kishore et al. know, we have been trying for quite some time now to educate eye care providers regarding the need to have these patients immediately evaluated in emergency facilities with the help of neurologists with an expertise in stroke. Over the past decade, we alerted the ophthalmology community to the necessity of following previously published guidelines by the American Heart Association and the American Stroke Association.

How Good is Photoscreening For Young Children ’ s Vision Problems?
This study showed that not only was smartphone photoscreening feasible, but was quite good at screening for potential vision problems. Smartphone photoscreening has the advantages of being more ubiquitously available and thus children in almost any location can be screened. Conclusion: We found a statistically insignificant tendency for the ultrasound-measured length of sICAS<70% to be longer than that of sICAS≥70%.
