Thrombectomy Outcomes for Acute Stroke Patients with Anterior Circulation Tandem Lesions: A Clinical Registry and an Update of Systematic Review with Meta ‐Analysis
ConclusionsOur data reports an association between acute stenting and successful reperfusion rates in stroke patients with tandem lesion treated with MT. Further studies are warranted to determine the intracranial bleeding risk after MT and stenting according to the antiplatelet therapy. This article is protected by copyright. All rights reserved.

Non ‐alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease is associated with stroke severity and progression of brainstem infarctions
ConclusionThese results suggest that NAFLD is a potential risk factor when evaluating the severity and progression of acute BSIs. This relationship is independent of classic risk factors and metabolic syndrome features. This article is protected by copyright. All rights reserved.

Serum Neurofilament Light Chain in Patients with Acute Cerebrovascular Events
ConclusionsIn conclusion, among patients admitted within 24 hours of AIS or TIA onset, admission sNfL were associated with clinical severity on admission and TIA diagnosis, but not with infarct size on MR‐DWI acquired on admission or functional outcome at three months. This article is protected by copyright. Insular damage, new ‐onset atrial fibrillation and outcome after acute intracerebral hemorrhage
ConclusionsThe frequency of nAF in our patients was 6.0%. Insular damage was a risk factor for nAF and an independent predictor of death at 3 months.

Familial hypercholesterolaemia in patients with ischaemic stroke or transient ischaemic attack
ConclusionsThe frequency of potential FH, based on clinical criteria, in patients with acute ischaemic stroke or TIA was 11.5% and that of probable/definite FH (1.3%) was similar to recently reported counts for patients with acute coronary syndrome (1.6%). FH screening using the DLCNA is feasible in clinical routine and should be considered as part of the usual diagnostic work‐up.

Refinement of detecting atrial fibrillation in stroke patients: Results from the TRACK ‐AF‐Study
ConclusionsCombination of SRA and ICM is a promising strategy to detect occult AF. SRA is reliable in predicting incident AF with a high negative predictive value. Thus, SRA may serve as a cost‐effective pre‐selection tool identifying patients at risk for AF who may benefit from further cardiac monitoring by ICM.This article is protected by copyright. The risk of ischaemic stroke in primary antiphospholipid syndrome patients: a prospective study
ConclusionsPatients with PAPS, including young patients, have a high risk of recurrent thrombosis despite anticoagulation treatment. A careful risk assessment is mandatory to identify patients at risk for recurrence.

Predictors of symptomatic intracranial haemorrhage in off ‐label thrombolysis: an analysis of the safe implementation of treatments in stroke registry
ConclusionsThrombolysis appears to be safe with regard to SICH for most of the off‐label criteria, especially for minor stroke, but is risky in patients with high blood pressure. Individual risk–benefit evaluation should be performed.

Embolic strokes of undetermined source in young adults: baseline characteristics and long ‐term outcome
ConclusionsIn our cohort, ESUS patients were younger and had milder cardiovascular risk factor burden and generally better long‐term outcome compared to other causes of young‐onset stroke. The comparable risk of recurrent stroke between ESUS and high‐risk sources of cardioembolism might suggest similarities in their pathophysiology. This article is protected by copyright.
