Triglyceride to high ‐density lipoprotein cholesterol ratio predicts worse outcomes after acute ischaemic stroke
ConclusionsA lower TG/HDL‐C was independently associated with death and worse outcome at 3 months in AIS.

Added value of multimodal computed tomography imaging: analysis of 1994 acute ischaemic strokes
ConclusionOur study shows an association of MCTI use with lower adjusted 12‐month mortality, better identification of the stroke mechanism and no signs of harm.

Frequency and outcome of total anterior circulation strokes without intracranial large ‐vessel occlusion
ConclusionsIntracranial artery patency was observed in 12.2% of TACI patients evaluated within 4.5 h. Although absence of ILVO was associated with slightly better prognosis, more than half had a poor outcome at 3 months.

D ‐dimer as a predictor of early neurologic deterioration in cryptogenic stroke with active cancer
ConclusionIschemic stroke patients with active cancer and elevated D‐dimer levels appear to be at increased risk for END recurrent thromboembolic stroke.

Peri ‐procedural silent cerebral infarcts after left atrial appendage occlusion
Conclusions This study of peri‐interventional MRI in LAAO suggests a low rate of silent peri‐procedural infarcts in this elderly population. Confirmation in larger studies is needed.

Right insular infarction and mortality after ischaemic stroke
ConclusionsIn our study, right insular involvement was a prognostic marker for mortality after ischaemic stroke. A selection bias towards patients able to give informed consent warrants further studies.

Serum 25 ‐hydroxyvitamin D deficiency predicts poor outcome amongst acute ischaemic stroke patients with low high density lipoprotein cholesterol
ConclusionsVitamin D deficiency may be merely an independent risk factor of poor prognosis in ischaemic stroke patients with low HDLC level.
