Efficacy of virtual reality therapy in ideomotor apraxia rehabilitation: A case report
We report the possible therapeutic efficacy of immersive virtual reality (VR) rehabilitation for the treatment of ideomotor apraxia in a patient with stroke.
Patient concerns:
A 56-year-old man with sudden weakness of his left side caused by right frontal, parietal, and corpus callosal infarction was transferred to rehabilitation medicine center for intensive rehabilitation. Although his left-sided weakness had almost subsided 10 days after the onset of symptoms, he presented difficulty using his left hand and required assistance in most activities of daily living.

Longer length of post-acute care stay causes greater functional improvements in poststroke patients
Post-acute care (PAC) is a type of transitional care for poststroke patients after the acute medical stage; it offers a relatively intensive rehabilitative program. Relationship of electrocardiographic changes and severity of acute cerebral ischemic stroke in old patients: A clinical observational study

Totally 200 old patients with acute CIS in our hospital from January 2017 to December 2019 were included into this study. According to the ST-T segment changes in ECG, these patients were divided into 3 groups: persistent ischemic group (n = 38), transient ischemic group (n = 106) and non-ischemic group (n = 56). Effects of a food preparation program on dietary well-being for stroke patients with dysphagia: A pilot study
Conclusions:
The food preparation program showed a positive impact on dietary well-being and a potential improvement in the health-related quality of life, quality of life related to the process of swallowing, and nutritional status for stroke patients with dysphagia. We recommend that stroke patients with dysphagia receive adequate knowledge and hands-on food preparation training to increase their dietary intake and well-being.

Treatments of unruptured brain arteriovenous malformations: A systematic review and meta-analysis
Conclusions:
We found that microsurgery might provide lasting clinical benefits in some unruptured bAVMs patients for its high obliteration rates and low hemorrhage. These findings are helpful to provide a reference basis for neurosurgeons to choose the treatment of patients with unruptured bAVMs.
