Data-independent acquisition-based quantitative proteomic analysis of m.3243A>G MELAS reveals novel potential pathogenesis and therapeutic targets
The pathogenesis of mitochondrial myopathy, encephalopathy, lactic acidosis and stroke like episodes (MELAS) syndrome has not been fully elucidated. The m.3243A > G mutation which is responsible for 80% MELAS patients affects proteins with undetermined functions. Development of a values-based decision aid to determine discharge destination: Case reports of older stroke survivors and their families
Conclusion:
Older stroke patients can use the DA to think through the evidence-based information matching their own values to make a more satisfactory decision. The effectiveness of this DA should further be investigated in clinical settings.

A meta-analysis of intravenous thrombolysis versus bridging therapy for ischemic stroke
Conclusions:
This study confirms that IVMT is more effective and safe than IVT alone in patients with AIS. However, more and higher-quality randomized clinical trials comparing IVMT to IV alone are warranted for validation.
