Comparison of short-term clinical outcomes between low-dose prasugrel and clopidogrel as part of triple antithrombotic therapy in patients requiring oral anticoagulant therapy and percutaneous coronary intervention
ConclusionsCombination of low-dose prasugrel and DOAC was associated with lower incidence of MI, ischemic stroke, and blood transfusion. Low-dose prasugrel may be feasible as part of triple therapy in patients undergoing PCI.

Comparison Between Clopidogrel and Prasugrel Associated With CYP2C19 Genotypes in Patients Receiving Percutaneous Coronary Intervention in a Japanese Population.
CONCLUSIONS: Among patients with theCYP2C19LOF allele, the use of clopidogrel was significantly associated with increased adverse events. Thus, further investigation is needed to establish the practical use ofCYP2C19genotyping.

Review of Toyoda K, et al. Dual antiplatelet therapy using cilostazol for secondary prevention in patients with high-risk ischemic stroke in Japan. Lancet Neurol. 2019 Jun;18(6):539-548.
Conclusion: This RCT demonstrated the safety of dual therapy, consisting of cilostazol/aspirin or cilostazol/ clopidogrel, in preventing secondary ischemic stroke in a high-risk Japanese population. Further studies are required to generalize these findings to other patient populations worldwide.

Contemporary Antiplatelet Therapy and Clinical Outcomes of Japanese Patients With Acute Myocardial Infarction - Results From the Prospective Japan Acute Myocardial Infarction Registry (JAMIR).
CONCLUSIONS: The present real-world database of the JAMIR demonstrated that the potent P2Y12-inhibitor prasugrel showed comparable rates of 1-year ischemic events to clopidogrel, but the risk of bleeding was lower with prasugrel than with clopidogrel.

Association between High Platelet Reactivity Following Dual Antiplatelet Therapy and Ischemic Events in Japanese Patients with Coronary Artery Disease Undergoing Stent Implantation.
CONCLUSION: HTPR was significantly associated with adverse ischemic outcomes at 1 year after PCI in Japanese patients receiving maintenance DAPT, indicating its potential as a prognostic indicator of clinical outcomes in this high-risk patient population.

Duration of Clopidogrel-Based Dual Antiplatelet Therapy and Clinical Outcomes in Patients With Acute Coronary Syndrome Undergoing Percutaneous Coronary Intervention - A Real-World Observation in Taiwan From 2012 to 2015.
CONCLUSIONS: Our data showed that short duration of DAPT (≤9 months) was common (42.1%) in Taiwan for ACS patients undergoing PCI. DAPT ≤9 months increased the risk of the primary outcome.

Safety and Efficacy of Low-Dose Prasugrel as Part of Triple Therapy With Aspirin and Oral Anticoagulants in Patients With Atrial Fibrillation Undergoing Percutaneous Coronary Intervention - From the TWMU-AF PCI Registry.
CONCLUSIONS: Low-dose prasugrel, as part of triple therapy, did not increase the risk of bleeding compared with clopidogrel. Therefore, it can be an alternative to clopidogrel for patients with AF undergoing PCI.
