Comparison of prasugrel and clopidogrel in patients with non-cardioembolic ischaemic stroke: a phase 3, randomised, non-inferiority trial (PRASTRO-I)
Publication date: March 2019Source: The Lancet Neurology, Volume 18, Issue 3Author(s): Akira Ogawa, Kazunori Toyoda, Kazuo Kitagawa, Takanari Kitazono, Takehiko Nagao, Hiroshi Yamagami, Shinichiro Uchiyama, Norio Tanahashi, Masayasu Matsumoto, Kazuo Minematsu, Izumi Nagata, Masakatsu Nishikawa, Shinsuke Nanto, Kenji Abe, Yasuo Ikeda, PRASTRO-I Study GroupSummaryBackgroundThe effect of prasugrel in terms of the prevention of recurrence of ischaemic stroke is unknown. We investigated the non-inferiority of prasugrel to clopidogrel for prevention of ischaemic stroke, myocardial infarction, and death from other vascular causes...

Asciminib, a Specific Allosteric BCR-ABL1 Inhibitor, in Patients with Chronic Myeloid Leukemia Carrying the T315I Mutation in a Phase 1 Trial
We report results from the largest cohort: pts with confirmed T315I mut at screening (tested locally by Sanger sequencing) and treated with asciminib 200 mg BID, which showed the most robust efficacy (data cutoff: April 30, 2018).At the data cutoff, treatment was ongoing in 23/24 pts (95.8%) (Table); 1 pt (4.2%) had ended treatment. Median duration of follow-up and asciminib exposure were both 28.5 wk (range, 0.1-74.7 wk). Most pts had received multiple prior TKIs, and PON was the most recent TKI for 12/24 (50.0%). Pts who were PON naive had underlying conditions, such as CV risk factors. Eight of 24 pts achieved MMR by 24...

A noninferiority confirmatory trial of prasugrel versus clopidogrel in Japanese patients with non-cardioembolic stroke: rationale and study design for a randomized controlled trial - PRASTRO-I trial.
CONCLUSIONS: This article presents the study design and rationale for a trial investigating the noninferiority of prasugrel to clopidogrel sulfate with regards to the inhibitory effect on primary events in patients with non-cardioembolic stroke. PMID: 29463150 [PubMed - as supplied by publisher]

E-088 Investigation of safety termination of antiplatelet therapy after lvis stent-assisted cerebral aneurysm coiling
Conclusion Termination of AT at 3 months postoperatively did not result in ischemic events among patients who underwent LSAC. Neointimal formation of Lvis stent may be a criterion for termination of AT without increasing the risk of ischemic event. Disclosures: K. Takayama: None. K. Myouchin: None. T. Wada: None. S.
