Hyperlipidemia as a stroke risk factor: Study of patients from northwest of Iran from 2008 to 2013
Background and Aims: Stroke is one of the leading causes of death and disability worldwide; and hyperlipidemia is one of its major risk factors. Dyslipidemia has been long recognized as a risk factor for coronary artery disease but its role in stroke has become increasingly apparent over the past decade.
