Trial of a prehospital intervention with traditional Chinese medicine for acute stroke (TRACE): Protocol for a mixed-methods research study
Discussion: The results of the TRACE study will provide preliminary evidence for the relationship between XNJI used within 24 h of onset and the presence of END on the third day after stroke onset; it will aid in improving the current knowledge regarding the early use of XNJI for stroke first aid.Clinical Trial Registration:clinicaltrials.gov, identifier NCT04275349

Efficacy and safety of LongShengZhi capsule on functional recovery after acute ischemic stroke (LONGAN): Protocol and statistical analysis plan for a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial
Conclusion: This study will be the first randomized, double-blind trial to evaluate the efficacy and safety of LSZ capsule in patients with AIS. In order to improve the transparency and reproducibility of the trial, the data will be analyzed in accordance with this pre-specified plan for statistical analysis to reduce bias due to selective analysis and reporting. This trial aims to provide high-quality evidence for the efficacy and safety of LSZ capsule for AIS.

The add-on effects of Danhong injection among patients with ischemic stroke receiving Western medicines: A systematic review and meta-analysis
Conclusion: The addition of Danhong injection to Western medicine may improve neurological function, self-care ability, and blood lipid level of ischemic stroke patients. However, given most included trials with unclear risk of bias, current evidence is not definitive, and more carefully designed and conducted trials are warranted to confirm our findings.Systematic Review Registration: [https://www.crd.york.ac.uk/PROSPERO/], identifier [CRD42022298628].

The role of < em > CYP2C19 < /em > genotyping to guide antiplatelet therapy following ischemic stroke or transient ischemic attack
Expert Rev Clin Pharmacol. 2022 Aug 1. doi: 10.1080/17512433.2022.2108401. Online ahead of print.ABSTRACTINTRODUCTION: Clopidogrel is an antiplatelet agent recommended for secondary prevention of ischemic stroke (IS) and transient ischemic attack (TIA). Conversion of clopidogrel to its active metabolite by hepatic cytochrome P450-2C19 (CYP2C19) is essential for the inhibition of the P2Y12 receptor and subsequent platelet aggregation to prevent thrombotic events. CYP2C19 is highly polymorphic, with over 30 loss of function (LoF) alleles. This review considers whether there is sufficient data to support genotype guided antip...

A Review of Neuroprotective Effects and Mechanisms of Ginsenosides From Panax Ginseng in Treating Ischemic Stroke
Ischemic stroke has been considered one of the leading causes of mortality and disability worldwide, associated with a series of complex pathophysiological processes. However, effective therapeutic methods for ischemic stroke are still limited. Panax ginseng, a valuable traditional Chinese medicine, has been long used in eastern countries for various diseases. Ginsenosides, the main active ingredient of Panax ginseng, has demonstrated neuroprotective effects on ischemic stroke injury during the last decade. In this article, we summarized the pathophysiology of ischemic stroke and reviewed the literature on ginsenosides stu...

Qishen Yiqi Dropping Pill facilitates post-stroke recovery of motion and memory loss by modulating ICAM-1-mediated neuroinflammation
CONCLUSION: QSYQ effectively accelerates the recovery of motor impairment and memory loss in rats after stroke via downregulation of ICAM-1-mediated neuroinflammation, and rosmarinic acid is one of its main active components.PMID:35772377 | DOI:10.1016/j.biopha.2022.113325

Effect Western Medicines Combined With Nao-Xue-Shu in Patients With Hypertensive Intracerebral Hemorrhage: A Network Meta-Analysis
Conclusion: Nao-Xue-Shu combined with nifedipine showed better effectiveness after treatment in HICH patients compared with the other combinations. Nao-Xue-Shu combined with EDA was more effective for improving neurological function and reducing both hematoma and edema volumes around the hematoma compared with the other combinations. However, Nao-Xue-Shu alone or Nao-Xue-Shu combined with nimodipine may be more effective for reducing proinflammatory factor expression.

Effects of musk volatile compounds on attenuated nerve injury and improving post-cerebral ischemic exercise functions
CONCLUSION: The Volatile compounds of musk can attenuate nerve injury and improving post-cerebral ischemic exercise functions by HIF1A pathways, and the combined data provide novel insight for Musk volatile compounds developed as new drug for improving reperfusion injury in acute ischemic stroke.PMID:35619259 | DOI:10.2174/1381612828666220526154014

Exploration of the Mechanism of Salvianolic Acid for Injection Against Ischemic Stroke: A Research Based on Computational Prediction and Experimental Validation
Ischemic stroke (IS) is an acute neurological injury that occurs when a vessel supplying blood to the brain is obstructed, which is a leading cause of death and disability. Salvia miltiorrhiza has been used in the treatment of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases for over thousands of years due to its effect activating blood circulation and dissipating blood stasis. However, the herbal preparation is chemically complex and the diversity of potential targets makes difficult to determine its mechanism of action. To gain insight into its mechanism of action, we analyzed “Salvianolic acid for injection” (SAFI), a tr...

Naoluo Xintong Decoction in the Treatment of Ischemic Stroke: A Network Analysis of the Mechanism of Action
The mechanism of action of Naoluo Xintong decoction (NLXTD) for the treatment of ischemic stroke (IS) is unknown. We used network analysis and molecular docking techniques to verify the potential mechanism of action of NLXTD in treating IS. The main active components of NLXTD were obtained from the Traditional Chinese Medicine Systems Pharmacology (TCMSP) database, and IS targets were collected from the Online Mendelian Inheritance in Man (OMIM), GeneCards, and Drugbank databases; their intersection was taken. In addition, Gene Ontology and Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes pathway analyses were performed and used to...
