Conclusion This study shows that all physical activity, in any form, is good for us. This includes both recreational and non-recreational activities. Don't be misled by some of the media: non-recreational activities like housework are not "better" than recreational activities like playing sports or going to the gym. Results of global fats and carbs study not very relevant for UK
Conclusion The results of the study have been presented in the media as if they overturn all current dietary guidelines. In the UK at least, that is completely misleading. The study results support the UK guidelines, having found that people who get around 50% of their calories from carbohydrates and 35% from fat, as recommended by Public Health England, were likely to live the longest. The Association of Arsenic Metabolism with Cancer, Cardiovascular Disease, and Diabetes: A Systematic Review of the Epidemiological Evidence
Conclusions: Population level of iAs% and DMA%, but not MMA%, were associated with arsenic exposure levels. Overall, study findings suggest that higher MMA% was associated with an increased risk of cancer and cardiovascular disease, while lower MMA% was associated with an increased risk of diabetes and metabolic syndrome. The Economic Costs of Cardiovascular Disease, Diabetes Mellitus, and Associated Complications in South Asia: A Systematic Review
Conclusions Marked increases in costs have been identified when complications of these chronic diseases occur, underlining the importance of secondary prevention approaches in disease management in South Asia. Higher quality studies, especially those that include longitudinal costs, are required to establish more robust cost estimates.

Drinking Water Salinity and Raised Blood Pressure: Evidence from a Cohort Study in Coastal Bangladesh
Conclusions: DWS is an important source of daily sodium intake in salinity-affected areas and is a risk factor for hypertension. Dyspnoea as a predictor of cause-specific heart/lung disease mortality in Bangladesh: a prospective cohort study
Conclusions Dyspnoea, ascertained by a single question with binary response, predicts heart and lung disease mortality. Individuals reporting dyspnoea were twofold to ninefold more likely to die of diseases that involve the heart and/or lungs relative to the non-dyspnoeic individuals. Therefore, in those with chronic dyspnoea, workup to look for the five common dyspnoeic diseases resulting in increased mortality (COPD, asthma, heart disease, tuberculosis and lung cancer), all treatable, should reduce mortality and improve the public health.

Prevalence and Associated Factors of Depression Among Post-Stroke Patients in Bangladesh
Abstract To assess the prevalence of depression and its associated factors among patients with stroke in Bangladesh. We conducted a cross-sectional study among 164 post-stroke patients attending two hospitals in Dhaka city between January and June 2011. Depression was measured using the Hamilton Depression Rating Scale. Factors associated with depression were analyzed using multivariate logistic regression.
