MAGT1 Deficiency Dysregulates Platelet Cation Homeostasis and Accelerates Arterial Thrombosis and Ischemic Stroke in Mice
CONCLUSIONS: These results suggest that MAGT1 and TRPC6 are functionally linked. Therefore, deficiency or impaired functionality of MAGT1 could be a potential risk factor for arterial thrombosis and stroke.PMID:37381987 | DOI:10.1161/ATVBAHA.122.318115

Identification of necroptosis-related gene TRAF5 as potential target of diagnosing atherosclerosis and assessing its stability
CONCLUSIONS: This study identified a diagnostic marker of necroptosis-related atherosclerosis, TRAF5, which can also be used to diagnose and assess atherosclerotic plaque stability. This novel finding has important implications in the diagnosis and assessment of plaque stability in atherosclerosis.PMID:37330462 | DOI:10.1186/s12920-023-01573-0

Association of cervical atherosclerosis on Doppler ultrasonography and postoperative delirium in patients undergoing spinal surgery: a single-center, retrospective, observational study
CONCLUSIONS: There was a significant association between POD and the prevalence of cervical atherosclerosis using the univariate logistic regression analysis. Furthermore, multivariate logistic regression analyses showed that older age and antiplatelet agent use were independently associated with POD.PMID:37326838 | DOI:10.1007/s00586-023-07823-0

ApoC-III Proteoforms, Plasma Lipids, and Cardiovascular Risk in MESA
CONCLUSIONS: Our data indicate differences in clinical and demographic relationships of apoC-III proteoforms, and highlight the importance of apoC-III proteoform composition in predicting future lipid patterns and cardiovascular disease risk.PMID:37317850 | DOI:10.1161/ATVBAHA.123.319035

Plasma ANGPTL8 Levels and Risk for Secondary Cardiovascular Events in Japanese Patients With Stable Coronary Artery Disease Receiving Statin Therapy
CONCLUSIONS: Monitoring ANGPTL8 levels over time might be useful to assess residual risk of cardiovascular secondary events in patients with cardiovascular disease undergoing statin therapy.PMID:37259862 | DOI:10.1161/ATVBAHA.122.318880
