Simultaneous cardio-cerebral infarction in the coronavirus disease pandemic era: A case series
Conclusion:
Early recognition and immediate treatment is important in different scenarios leading to thrombosis as the outcome. Additionally, addressing the unknown risks that could contribute to our traditional understanding of these causative mechanisms is important. The hypothesis of exacerbated damage caused by inflammatory and immunological endothelial systemic damage should further be explored to be able to delineate new possibilities in managing these conditions.

Efficacy and safety of intravenous thrombolysis with alteplase for treating acute ischemic stroke at different time windows: A protocol for systematic review and meta-analysis
Conclusions:
This study will provide an evidence-based basis for the clinical efficacy of alteplase for treating AIS by thrombolytic therapy at different time windows.

Bilateral vertebral artery dissection complicated by posterior circulation stroke in a young man: A case report
Conclusion:
VAD should be taken into consideration in differential diagnosis of posterior circulation stroke or transient ischemic attack in young patients. Intravenous thrombolytic therapy may be safe and effective for stroke-complicated cases. This case report demonstrates that expanded diagnostic protocol for acute ischemic stroke assures rapid and correct diagnosis.

Conclusions:
It is noteworthy that PAVF with a large thrombus may appear as a tumor in the initial diagnosis, and therefore it is necessary to perform an intracranial vascular examination in patients with tumor stroke symptoms.

Mobile health technology-supported atrial fibrillation screening and integrated care: A report from the mAFA-II trial Long-term Extension Cohort.
CONCLUSION: Amongst AF patients with long term use (≥1 year) of mHealth technology for optimising stroke prevention, symptom control and comorbidity management, adherence/persistence was good and associated with a reduction in adverse clinical outcomes.

Trends and outcomes of device-related 30-day readmissions after left ventricular assist device implantation.
CONCLUSION: Over one-fourth of LVAD recipients have 30-day readmissions, with most of them occurring within 15 days. Most frequent cause of readmission was gastrointestinal bleeding, which was associated with the lowest in-hospital mortality among other complications.

Clinical efficacy and imaging evaluation of recombinant tissue plasminogen activator thrombolytic therapy in patients with wake up stroke: A randomized controlled trial
This study will be a single-blinded, randomized controlled trial with 2 parallel groups. It will be conducted at North China University of science and technology affiliated hospital.
Discussion:
There is no consistent conclusion about the pathogenesis of wake up stroke. Wake up stroke is more likely to manifest as small vessel disease. The incidence of wake up stroke patients is relatively high, and the effectiveness and safety of intravenous thrombolysis under the guidance of multimode imaging therapy in wake up stroke need to be further explored by prospective, large-scale studies.
