E-182 A multicentric experience for the use of flow diverter in the treatment of anterior communicating artery aneurysms
ConclusionFlow diverters appear to be a safe and effective treatment for anterior communicating artery aneurysms, presenting as an alternative strategy in the armamentarium of interventionalist. Mid-term results were favorable, and complication rates were low. Additional studies with longer follow-up time and independent adjudication are warranted to confirm the safety and effectiveness of the technique.Disclosures V. Benalia: None. G. Cortez: None. N. E-187 Pipeline embolization stent for treatment of giant supraclinoid aneurysms: a case series
ConclusionThe Pipeline embolization device is a novel technique that can be utilized for treatment of giant cerebrovascular aneurysms with emerging evidence of immediate and long-term success. Further patient enrollment and clinical trials will be required to assess its efficacy in comparison to other endovascular and surgical approaches for the treatment of giant aneurysms.Disclosures M. E-192 Association of myeloperoxidase-DNA complexes and high mobility group box 1 protein with delayed cerebral ischemia following aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage
High mobility group box 1 protein (HMGB1) serves as a key player in aseptic inflammation. Admission serum HMGB1 has been identified as a biomarker predictive of delayed cerebral ischemia following aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage (aSAH). Released by leucocytes and platelets, HMGB1 induces neutrophils to release condensed chromatin and protein granules, termed neutrophil extracellular traps (NETs). Myeloperoxidase (MPO)-DNA complexes are one major NET biomarker and have been associated with arterial and venous thrombosis formation. The prevalence and role of MPO-DNA in aSAH remains to be determined.A post-hoc analysis of ...

E-223 Atypical delayed mechanical thrombectomy for calcified cardiac emboli
ConclusionMechanical thrombectomy for intermittent stroke symptoms due to CCE was successfully achieved using an Embotrap device despite several days of relapsing-remitting symptoms with full neurologic recovery. Regardless of prior reports showing a low success rate, with the advent and availability of advanced thrombectomy devices, tailored endovascular treatment for patients with CCE to the brain should be strongly considered.Disclosures A. E-236 Comparison of pipeline vs surpass flow diverter: a single center experience
ConclusionsIn our single-center retrospective experience in the last 5 years, the Pipeline and Surpass were comparable except that the Surpass flow diverter cases tended to have a higher baseline aneurysm width compared to Pipeline. However, the procedural outcomes and complication rates were comparable between both groups. Long-term and follow-up data to be evaluated for efficacy outcomes assessment.Disclosures A. Pandhi: None. Thrombus-associated microbiota in acute ischemic stroke patients
CONCLUSION: In this small study, we demonstrate proof of concept and technical feasibility for amplicon-based metagenomic sequencing of arterial thrombi and briefly discuss preliminary findings, challenges, and near-term translational opportunities for thrombus genomics.PMID:35855159 | PMC:PMC9282817 | DOI:10.25259/SNI_104_2022
