O-035 Risk factors for delayed deterioration after cerebral venous thrombosis: a model to identify patients for early aggressive endovascular therapy
Conclusion We found that decreased mental status, seizure activity, papilledema, number of involved sinuses, sodium level, and platelet level to be the most important factors in predicting deterioration after CVT. This group may represent a subset of patients in who early thrombectomy may be considered. Further prospective trials are needed to confirm this hypothesis. Repeated Mechanical Thrombectomy in the Same Intracranial Artery Segment
We report a patient with an important scenario that may arise in the management of an acute ischemic stroke: the need for a repeated mechanical thrombectomy in the same intracranial artery segment. The patient had a history of atrial fibrillation and a mechanical mitral valve replacement. In her first stroke, she had an occlusion of the proximal segment of the right middle cerebral artery; 58 days later, she presented with an occlusion in the same segment of that cerebral artery. In both instances, the thrombus was extracted by a stent retriever with good clinical and radiographic results.

Enhanced Detection of Edema in Malignant Anterior Circulation Stroke (EDEMA) Score Brief Report
Conclusions—The EDEMA score identifies patients at high risk for potentially lethal malignant edema. Although it requires external validation, this scale could help expedite triage decisions in this patient population.

Rapidly improving neurological deficit of stroke; case series in Academic institute, KAUH, Jeddah (P4.283)
Conclusions:Rapidly improving patient represent a challenge to whether tPA should be given. However, the good outcome with thrombolytic therapy observed in our study, will hopfuly support the decision to treat.Study Supported by: nonDisclosure: Dr. khoja has nothing to disclose. Contrast induced encephalopathy mimicking reperfusion injury (P3.285)
Conclusions:Diagnostic or therapeutic angiography is frequently performed for acute ischemic or hemorrhagic stroke. Clinicians should be aware of contrast induced encephalopathy and consider it in cases of neurologic deterioration after angiography in order to initiate appropriate treatment and avoid unnecessary invasive tests.Disclosure: Dr. Bakradze has nothing to disclose. Spinal cord injury misdiagnosed as cerebral infarction and given thrombolytic therapy: A case report
【Background】Spinal Cord Injury Without Radiographic Abnormality (SCIWORA) covers a broad spectrum of neurological deficits, which can be confused with cerebral infarction when patients present with hemiparesis and a history of minor injury.

P08.46 Rechallenge with bevacizumab in a long-term survivor with glioblastoma
The prognosis of patients with glioblastoma multiforme (GBM, WHO grade IV), the most common primary brain tumor in adults, is generally poor with median survival of less than one year in untreated patients and approximately 15 months following standard of care therapy. However, 10 % survival at 5 years was observed in a randomized phase III study. At GBM recurrence, the addition of bevacizumab (BEV), a humanized monoclonal antibody against circulating vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF), resulted in a 3–4 month prolongation of progression-free survival (PFS) without improving overall survival (OS...

E-067 Endovascular Approach in the Repair of the Middle Cerebral Artery Aneurysm Including Those with Wide Neck and Complex in Morphology-A Case Series
ConclusionsEndovascular repair of the MCA aneurysm inclosing those with wide neck and complex are not only safe and feasible, but associated with high long-term functional outcome. Therefore, endovascular options must be offered to patients prior to surgical clipping of a MCA aneurysm. Further study may be warranted.DisclosuresY. Lodi: None. V. Reddy: None.

P-001 Permanent Implantation of the Solitaire Device as a Bailout Technique for Large Vessel Intracranial Occlusions
ConclusionWith the recent over-whelming evidence demonstrating the effectiveness endovascular therapy in acute ischemic stroke, the expansion of stroke therapy requires that a variety of techniques be available to the operators. Permanent implantation of the Solitaire stent achieves adequate distal flow and good clinical outcomes in the setting of AIS. This case series suggests this technique provides a safe alternative for difficult cases refractory to other revascularization techniques.Key Wordsstroke, revascularization, stentDisclosuresJ. Vascular Territories of Ischemic Stroke in Associated Takotsubo Cardiomyopathy (P1.221)
Conclusions: TC is a reversible cardiomyopathy that has an association with ischemic stroke. This condition can notably be both the cause and effect of stroke. Ischemic stroke of the left middle cerebral artery appears to be the most prevalent. In female patients suffering from middle cerebral artery distribution ischemic stroke and cardiac dysfunction, TC should be considered.Disclosure: Dr. Zia has nothing to disclose. Susceptibility-weighted Imaging in Neurovascular Disease
Abstract: Susceptibility-weighted imaging (SWI) has become an important imaging sequence in the evaluation of patients with neurovascular disease. In this review, we provide a general overview of the physics of SWI and describe how image contrast is produced with this technique. We provide a general approach and differential diagnosis for 2 commonly encountered radiographic patterns seen with SWI in neurovascular disease. Finally, we discuss specific neurovascular applications of SWI, including its application in acute stroke, vascular malformations, venous thrombosis, and evaluation of cerebral microbleeds.

Pediatric Cortical Vein Thrombosis: Frequency and Association With Venous Infarction Brief Reports
Conclusions— In our cohort, CVT was significantly associated with seizures at presentation, hemorrhage and restricted diffusion on acute imaging, as well as neurological disability and venous infarction at follow-up. Involvement of cortical veins in cerebral sinovenous thrombosis is associated with an increased risk of infarction and adverse outcome in children.
