Comparison of three measures for insomnia in ischemic stroke patients: Pittsburgh sleep quality index, insomnia severity index, and Athens insomnia scale
ConclusionEach of the three questionnaires has advantages and disadvantages when assessing insomnia. In the evaluation of insomnia in IS patients, the best questionnaire selection should be made according to the purpose of clinical evaluation and considering the sensitivity and specificity.

Efficacy and safety of acupuncture on sleep quality for post-stroke insomnia: a systematic review and meta-analysis
ConclusionAcupuncture could improve sleep quality, has long-term efficacy and without serious adverse events. However, the findings should be treated with caution owing to the existence of methodological quality issues. More studies with rigorous designs are warranted for validation and explored the safety of acupuncture.

Fluoxetine or Venlafaxine for Early Post Stroke Depression
Conclusions: PSD in the early phase affects a substantial number of the stroke patients. Venlafaxine has got a better outcome and adverse event profile compared to fluoxetine in this group of patients. However, larger multicenter studies will provide more helpful data in this area.

Regional brain dysfunction in insomnia after ischemic stroke: A resting-state fMRI study
ConclusionPatients with PSI have abnormal local activities in multiple brain regions, including the visual processing-related cortex, sensorimotor cortex, and some default-mode network (DMN) regions. Over-arousal of the DMN and over-sensitivity of the audiovisual stimuli in patients with PSI may be the main mechanisms of insomnia and can lead to a decline in cognitive function and abnormalities in emotion regulation simultaneously.

ConclusionCOVID-19 neurologic complications are key drivers of patient severity and mortality. Headache, convulsions, mental and psychic disorders, delirium, and insomnia are just some of the symptoms that the virus can cause. The olfactory nerve is the most commonly damaged cranial nerve, resulting in anosmia. Stroke (mostly infarction), encephalitis, meningitis, Guillain –Barre syndrome, relapse of multiple sclerosis, and transverse myelitis are all symptoms and squeals.

Unilateral Poststroke Periodic Limb Movements: A Case Series
We report 2 patients with unilateral poststroke PLM with similar clinical pictures but different symptoms, therapy, and outcome. The first is a long-lasting unilateral PLM video case with chronic vascular lesions leading to insomnia even if with no urgence or any subjective symptoms as in RLS but well responding only to a definite RLS treatment. CONCLUSION: Sleepio can be used by some people at the chronic stage of stroke. However, some barriers to completion were highlighted, and not all suggestions were deemed practical for everyone. Trazodone improves obstructive sleep apnea after ischemic stroke: a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled, crossover pilot study

Objective and subjective sleep problems and quality of life of rehabilitation in patients with mild to moderate stroke.
Conclusion: Objective sleep parameters (sleep onset latency and sleep efficiency) were found to be associated with quality of life during the early stage of rehabilitation in mild to moderate stroke patients.
