Safety of Recanalization Therapy in Patients with Acute Ischemic Stroke Under Anticoagulation: A Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis
Intravenous thrombolysis treatment (IVT) and endovascular therapy (EVT) have been proved as fist-line beneficial option for eligible patients who have acute ischemic stroke (AIS) with major safety concern of symptomatic intracranial hemorrhage (sICH). Unfortunately, the emergency management of patients with AIS taking vitamin K antagonists and with international normalized ratio  higher than 1.7 or taking new oral anticoagulants (NOACs) represents a great challenge. We aim to comprehensively determine the safety of EVT in patients under prior-stroke anticoagulants and IVT in patients under NOAC use.

The HOPES Registry – Houston Methodist Hospital Outcomes-based Prospective Endpoints in Stroke
We present a single institution registry with the novel feature of 90-day outcome assessments on all hospitalized acute stroke patients, inclusive of every patient with a primary discharge diagnosis of transient ischemic attack (TIA), acute ischemic stroke (AIS), nontraumatic subarachnoid hemorrhage (SAH), and intracerebral hemorrhage (ICH).

The management of atrial fibrillation and deep venous thrombosis has evolved with the development of direct oral anticoagulants (DOAC), and oral anticoagulant (OAC) might influence the development or clinical course in both ischemic and hemorrhagic stroke. Early Stroke Recognition and Time-based Emergency Care Performance Metrics for Intracerebral Hemorrhage
Background and Aim: Performance measures have been extensively studied for acute ischemic stroke, leading to guideline-established benchmarks. Factors influencing care efficiency for intracerebral hemorrhage (ICH) are not well delineated. We sought to identify factors associated with early recognition of ICH and to assess the association between early recognition and completion of emergency care tasks. Methods: Consecutive patients with spontaneous ICH were enrolled in an observational cohort study conducted from 2009 to 2017 at an urban comprehensive stroke center, excluding patient transferred from other hospitals.

Timing of Anticoagulation after Stroke in Patients with Non-Valvular Atrial Fibrillation Assessment of Provider Practices
Optimal timing of oral anticoagulation (TOAC) in acute ischemic stroke (AIS) in patients with atrial fibrillation (AF) is unknown. The risk of recurrent ischemic events when treatment is delayed is often weighed against that of hemorrhagic transformation (HT) when anticoagulation is started in the subacute phase, especially in moderate to large infarctions. Despite substantial evidence for the benefit of oral anticoagulation (OAC) in reducing stroke recurrence, current nationally recognized practice guidelines do not provide clear recommendations on the TOAC after AF-related AIS.

Utilization and Outcomes of Acute Revascularization Treatment in Ischemic Stroke Patients with SARS-CoV-2 Infection
