Coronary artery disease grading by cardiac CT for predicting outcome in patients with stable angina

Higher systemic immune-inflammation index and systemic inflammation response index levels are associated with stroke prevalence in the asthmatic population: a cross-sectional analysis of the NHANES 1999-2018
ConclusionIn asthmatics, higher levels of SII and SIRI significantly increased the prevalence of stroke, with its association being more pronounced in individuals with coexisting obesity and hyperlipidaemia. SII and SIRI are relatively stable novel inflammatory markers in the asthmatic population, with SIRI having a better predictive value for stroke prevalence than SII.

The economic consequences of CVDs, including healthcare expenses, decreased productivity, and diminished quality of life, further contribute to this burden. Lifestyle factors such as unhealthy diets, physical inactivity, tobacco use, and excessive alcohol consumption are closely associated with CVDs.

Protective effect of vaccination on the risk of cardiovascular disease after SARS-CoV-2 infection
ConclusionAlthough COVID-19 increased the CVD risk, the inverse association in the risk of CVDs according to vaccine doses was significant in a dose –response manner. Our findings suggest that ≥ second doses of the COVID-19 vaccine prevent the risk of CVDs after SARS-CoV-2 infection.Graphical abstractIn 2,146,130 infected adults ( ≥ 20 years), the inverse association in the short-term risk of cardiovascular diseases, including coronary heart disease and stroke, according to vaccine doses received was significant in a dose–response manner.

ConclusionIn the neurointerventional field, high BMI and prior use of antithrombotic agents were related to HTPR, and low BMI was associated with LTPR on prophylactic prasugrel. High hematocrit levels decreased the risk of HTPR. Association between COVID-19 and incidence of cardiovascular disease and all-cause mortality among patients with diabetes
ConclusionsThis study showed that patients with diabetes hospitalized due to COVID-19 had an increased risk of CVD, coronary heart disease, stroke incidence, and mortality than those who were not COVID-19 infected, suggesting more careful prevention and management among patients with COVID-19.
