Feasibility and acceptability of the Resilient Living program among persons with stroke or brain tumor and their family caregivers
CONCLUSION: The study confirms prior research suggesting that interventions targeting resilience are feasible, but larger studies with more rigorous methods are needed to appreciate the influence of resilience interventions in persons with brain disorders and their caregivers. Further research is needed to identify the characteristics of those most likely to benefit from resilience interventions and the optimal timing of such interventions.PMID:36617758 | DOI:10.3233/NRE-220127

Addition of high-intensity interval training to a moderate intensity continuous training cardiovascular rehabilitation program after ischemic cerebrovascular disease: A randomized controlled trial
ConclusionA 6-month HIIT + MICT combined program and a standard MICT program induced similar improvements in CRF, self-reported physical activity and anxiety and depression markers among patients with prior ischemic stroke or TIA compared with a control group. These effects appear to persist over time. Addition of HIIT was safe and considered acceptable by participants. Our results do not support any superiority of the combination HIIT + MICT nor disadvantage vs. MICT in this population.

IJERPH, Vol. 20, Pages 475: The Association between Symptoms of Depression and Anxiety, Quality of Life, and Diabetic Kidney Disease among Chinese Adults: A Cross-Sectional Study
This study aimed to investigate the prevalence of, and risk factors for, depression and anxiety in Chinese DKD patients, and to analyze their impact on the renal function, proteinuria, and QOL. A total of 620 adult patients with Type 2 diabetes and DKD being treated at a tertiary hospital in East China were recruited. Depression and anxiety symptoms were assessed by the Zung Self-Rating Depression Scale and Anxiety Scale. Among the DKD participants, 41.3% had symptoms of depression and 45.0% had anxiety symptoms. A poor education, physical inactivity, stroke, low serum albumin, CKD stage 3–4, macroalbuminuria...

Evaluating feasibility, value and characteristics of an intergenerational friendly telephone visit program during the Covid-19 pandemic
Social isolation and loneliness are increasingly recognized as serious health risks for older Americans (1). Social isolation and loneliness are related forms of social disconnection that are associated with the incidence and worsening of anxiety and depressive disorders, coronary artery disease and stroke, dementia, and premature death (2-6). Thus, social distancing policies and isolation during the Covid-19 pandemic have uniquely impacted older adults.

A scoping review to identify process and outcome measures used in acceptance and commitment therapy research, with adults with acquired neurological conditions
CONCLUSIONS: This study provides a resource to support future identification of candidate measures. This could aid development of a Core Outcome Set to support both research and clinical practice. Further research to identify the most appropriate and relevant targets and tools for use in these populations should include expert consensus, patient, carer and public involvement and psychometric examination of measures.PMID:36540937 | DOI:10.1177/02692155221144554

Cognitive impairment, anxiety and depression: a map of Cochrane evidence relevant to rehabilitation for people with post COVID-19 condition
CONCLUSIONS: These results are the first step of indirect evidence able to generate helpful hypotheses for clinical practice and future research. They served as the basis for the three recommendations on treatments for these PCC symptoms published in the current WHO Guidelines for clinical practice.PMID:36534008 | DOI:10.23736/S1973-9087.22.07813-3
