Cost-effectiveness analysis of dabigatran versus rivaroxaban for stroke prevention in patients with non-valvular atrial fibrillation using real-world evidence in elderly US Medicare beneficiaries.
CONCLUSIONS: In this study using US Medicare real-world data, dabigatran was found to dominate rivaroxaban. Serum High-Sensitive C-reactive Protein May Reflect Periodontitis in Patients With Stroke
Conclusion: Periodontitis is a common finding among patients with acute stroke/TIA as over 80% of patients with cryptogenic stroke/TIA had periodontitis. S-hsCRP is a useful tool for detecting subclinical systemic inflammation.

Abstract Hemorrhagic stroke can occur after spine and joint surgeries such as laminectomy, lumbar spinal fusion, tumor resection, and total joint arthroplasty. A comparison of safety and efficacy between long-term DAPT and intensive statins combined with short-term DAPT for acute ischemic stroke
ConclusionsCompared to long-term DAPT, intensive rosuvastatin with short-term DAPT was equivalent in reducing the risk of recurrent ischemic stroke. Impact of medication adherence on risk of ischemic stroke, major bleeding, and deep vein thrombosis in atrial fibrillation patients using novel oral anticoagulants.
CONCLUSION: Adherence to NOACs for both 6 months and continued prolong use (up to 12-months) was associated with a reduction in IS and DVTPE risk, but did not substantially increase risk of MB. Patients with acute myocardial infarction and atrial fibrillation: association of anemia with risk of in-hospital bleeding, stroke and other death causes.
Conclusions: In the Chinese in-hospital AMI and AF cohort, anemia was shown to be associated with increased risk of any bleeding, minor bleeding, gastrointestinal bleeding and other death causes, but not the risk of stroke or/and SE. Beneficial Effect of Beraprost Sodium Plus Aspirin in the Treatment of Acute Ischemic Stroke.
CONCLUSIONS In our trial involving patients with acute cerebral infarction, BPS plus aspirin was not found to be superior to aspirin in reducing the recurrence of cerebral infarction or death. A study on endovascular treatment alone and bridging treatment for acute ischemic stroke
ConclusionsAlthough there was no difference in clinical efficacy and safety between the abovementioned two groups, treatment with IVT  + EVT could increase the risk of bleeding compared to EVT. Moreover, in the 6–8 h subgroup, the efficacy of EVT alone was better than that of IVT + EVT.
