Conclusion In summary, SSS extraction significantly ameliorates cerebral energy metabolism via boosting citrate cycle, which mainly embodies the enhancements of blood glucose concentration, glucose and lactate transportation and glucose utilization, as well as the regulations of relative enzymes activities in citrate cycle. These ameliorations ultimately resulted in numerous ATP yield after stroke, which improved neurological function and infarcted volume. Ischemic Stroke Risk Among Adult Brain Tumor Survivors: Evidence to Guide Practice
CONCLUSION: Nurses play a key role in the assessment, prevention, and identifying individuals who are at risk of AIS during brain tumor survivorship. Engaging patients and their caregivers on minimizing their risks of AIS is crucial in the outpatient setting. Annual surveillance visits that include intracranial artery imaging should be used to identify individuals considered most at risk for developing AIS symptoms.

Endovascular Therapy is Effective for Large Vessel Occlusion Despite Concurrent Cancer
Ischemic stroke and concurrent cancer is increasingly recognized. However, optimal management is uncertain. As mechanical thrombectomy has become the standard of care for large vessel occlusion, more patients with cancer are presenting for embolectomy. However, it is unknown whether this subgroup has the same benefit profile described in multiple randomized trials for thrombectomy for large vessel occlusion. Our objective was to retrospectively evaluate a North American embolectomy database for safety and outcomes in patients with active cancer.

Conclusions Despite the above limitations, we indicate that the protective mechanism of CTs against OGD/R damage might exert via inhibiting neuron apoptosis and attenuating BBB disruption.
