Lifestyle and personal factors associated with having macroscopic residual disease after ovarian cancer primary cytoreductive surgery
CONCLUSIONS: The association between ET and having no macroscopic residual disease is plausible given a strong underlying biologic hypothesis between this exposure and diagnosis with HGSC. If this or the parity finding is replicated, these factors could be included in risk stratification models to determine whether HGSC patients should receive PCS or neoadjuvant chemotherapy.PMID:36401943 | DOI:10.1016/j.ygyno.2022.10.018

Long non ‑coding RNA LINC01960‑201 hinders decidualization of endometrial stromal cell in endometriosis: Relevance to endometrial receptivity
In conclusion, it was hypothesized that LINC01960‑201 played a notable regulatory role in the decidualization of endometrial stromal cells in women with endometriosis during the window of implantation, and its abnormal expression may lead to the decline of endometrial receptivity and recurrent abortions.PMID:36281935 | DOI:10.3892/mmr.2022.12883

Hormonal drugs for the treatment of endometriosis
Curr Opin Pharmacol. 2022 Oct 20;67:102311. doi: 10.1016/j.coph.2022.102311. Online ahead of print.ABSTRACTIn the past, the primary approach for the treatment of endometriosis was represented by surgery; however, after the introduction of non-invasive diagnosis of endometriosis with the development of imaging technologies, medical treatment became the preferred approach, particularly in young patients. Hormonal drugs, by blocking menstruation, are the most effective for the treatment of endometriosis-related pain, independently of phenotype (ovarian, deep, or superficial endometriosis). Gonadotropin-releasing hormone analo...

Pulmonary embolism in menopausal hormone therapy: a population-based register study
CONCLUSION: PE was most common close to initiation of oral treatment. Transdermal MHT did not increase the risk of PE.PMID:36218141 | DOI:10.1080/13697137.2022.2127352
