Prostaglandin E2 receptor subtypes 1 and 2 play a role in TGF- β1-induced renal fibrosis by regulating endoplasmic reticulum stress.
CONCLUSIONS: EP1 receptor may increase TGF-β1-induced cell damage by increasing the activities of GRP78, TRPC1, and ERK1/2 via ER stress. Meanwhile, the EP2 receptor may reduce TGF-β1-induced cell damage by suppressing GRP78, TRPC1, and ERK1/2 activities, also via ER stress. EP1 inhibition and EP2 stimulation may be a therapeutic option for delaying renal fibrosis. PMID: 32432758 [PubMed - in process]

Low expression of miR-1 promotes osteogenic repair of bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells by targeting TLR1.
CONCLUSIONS: The downregulation of miR-1 promotes BMSCs osteogenic differentiation via targeting TLR1, which promotes osteogenic differentiation and bone healing. PMID: 32329822 [PubMed - as supplied by publisher]

Hsa_circ_001193 regulates proliferation and apoptosis of nasopharyngeal carcinoma cells through targeting mir-496.
CONCLUSIONS: Hsa_circ_001193 can serve as the miR-496 sponge, which regulates proliferation and apoptosis of NPC cells through up-regulating miR-496. Our findings provide a new therapeutic target for NPC. PMID: 32271424 [PubMed - as supplied by publisher]

Relationship between miR-375 regulating Ndrg2/IL-6/STAT3 signaling pathway and diabetic retinopathy in rats.
CONCLUSIONS: MiR-375 inhibitors are able to reduce blood glucose, retinal permeability, and optic ganglion apoptosis in rats with DR, and the mechanism of action may be related to the regulation on the Ndrg2/IL-6/STAT3 signaling pathway. PMID: 32196570 [PubMed - as supplied by publisher]

Effect of lncRNA AK023948 on rats with postmenopausal osteoporosis via PI3K/AKT signaling pathway.
CONCLUSIONS: LncRNA AK0 can regulate the phosphorylation level of AKT in osteoblasts of rats with estrogen deficiency-related osteoporosis through the PI3K/AKT signaling pathway, thus regulating the proliferation of osteoblasts. It is speculated that lncRNA AK0 may be an important factor in regulating the PI3K/AKT signaling pathway. PMID: 32196569 [PubMed - as supplied by publisher]
