Radiosensitivity in Non-Small-Cell Lung Cancer by MMP10 through the DNA Damage Repair Pathway
This study investigated the function and associated mechanism of MMP10 during radiotherapy of NSCLC. MMP10 expression in patients and their overall survival rate were assessed through GEPIA. Protein expression was tested by western blotting. Radioresistance was detected in vitro by apoptosis and clonogenic assay. The extent of DNA damage and repair was revealed by the comet test and γH2AX foci test. High MMP10 levels in specimens of lung adenocarcinoma were related to poor patient outcomes. Clonogenic and apoptosis assays revealed that MMP10 knockdown in A549 cells initiated radiosensitization. Furthermore, MMP10 siRNA in...

FOXA2 and STAT5A regulate oncogenic activity of KIF5B-RET fusion
Am J Cancer Res. 2023 Feb 15;13(2):638-653. eCollection 2023.ABSTRACTKIF5B-RET gene rearrangement occurs in ~1% of lung adenocarcinomas. Recently, targeted agents that inhibit RET phosphorylation have been evaluated in several clinical studies; however, little is known about the role of this gene fusion in driving lung cancer. Immunohistochemistry was used to evaluate the expression of the FOXA2 protein in tumor tissues of patients with lung adenocarcinoma. KIF5B-RET fusion cells proliferated in a cohesive form and grew tightly packed with variable-sized colonies. The expression of RET and its downstream signaling molecule...

RPL11 promotes non-small cell lung cancer cell proliferation by regulating endoplasmic reticulum stress and cell autophagy
CONCLUSION: Taken together, RPL11 has a tumor-promoting role in NSCLC. It promotes the cell proliferation of NSCLC cells by regulating ERS and autophagy.PMID:36869281 | DOI:10.1186/s12860-023-00469-2

Study on co-delivery of pemetrexed disodium and Bcl-2 siRNA by poly- γ-glutamic acid-modified cationic liposomes for the inhibition of NSCLC
Drug Dev Ind Pharm. 2023 Feb 20:1-18. doi: 10.1080/03639045.2023.2182125. Online ahead of print.ABSTRACTDue to the complexity of pathophysiology of non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) and susceptibility of single chemotherapy to drug resistance, the combination of drugs and small interfering RNA (siRNA) may produce desired therapeutic effect on NSCLC through action of multiple pathways. We designed to develop poly-γ-glutamic acid-modified cationic liposomes (γ-PGA-CL) to co-deliver pemetrexed disodium (PMX) and siRNA to treat NSCLC. Firstly, γ-PGA was modified on surface of PMX and siRNA co-loaded cationic liposomes by e...
