Asylum seekers' self-reported health conditions in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, from 2010 to 2017
This study aimed to analyze the self-reported health conditions of asylum seekers in the municipality of Rio de Janeiro from 2010 to 2017. This is a cross-sectional study with secondary data. Data were collected from asylum application forms at the Brazilian National Committee for Refugees (Conare) from 2010 to 2017 and from social interviews in the Archdiocesan Caritas of Rio de Janeiro (Cáritas/RJ). Novel Variant of < em > SLC34A3 < /em > in a Compound Heterozygous Brazilian Girl with Hereditary Hypophosphatemic Rickets with Hypercalciuria
We report a Brazilian girl with HHRH who presented with knee pain and progressive genu valgum deformity that became apparent later in childhood (at age 8). Nephrocalcinosis was also identified at age 13. Next-generation sequencing (NGS) target panel directed to inherited forms of rickets detected compound heterozygous pathogenic variants in SLC34A3, including a novel missense variant c.1217G>T (p.Gly406Val). Emergence of melioidosis in Brazil: a case series
ConclusionsMelioidosis is an emerging infectious disease in Brazil. Health professionals in endemic areas need to be aware of the clinical presentation and appropriate clinical management of the disease because early diagnosis and early initiation of antibiotic therapy can be life-saving.

Effectiveness of Cognitive Functional Therapy Versus Core Exercises and Manual Therapy in Patients with Chronic Low Back Pain after Spinal Surgery: Randomized Controlled Trial
CONCLUSION: CFT was more effective than core exercises and manual therapy, with large effect sizes, and may be an option for patients with chronic low back pain after spinal surgery.IMPACT STATEMENT: CFT reduces pain and improves function, with large effect sizes, compared with core exercises and manual therapy. The difference between CFT and core exercises and manual therapy was sustained at the midterm follow-up.
