Authors: Ridolo E, Incorvaia C, Senna GE, Montagni M, Olivieri E, Canonica GW Abstract We performed a survey, based on a questionnaire including 20 items, submitted anonymously to Italian trainees in Allergology and Clinical Immunology, in order to obtain information about their specific allergen immunotherapy (AIT) practices. The questionnaire was sent to 40 trainees, who had attended the last two years of the training course. Thirty-four subjects (mean age: 27 years, 65% females) adequately completed the survey. Pediatric allergy and immunology in Israel
Abstract After the geographic and sociodemographic settings as well as the health care in Israel are briefly described, the scope of pediatric allergy and immunology in Israel is presented. (2) Anaphylaxis from laboratory animal bites occurs more frequently than suggested by prior literature. (3) Animal allergens represent an occupational hazard in a wide variety of work settings ranging from fields that work with animals to public settings like schools and ...

Understanding Food Allergy Education Needs in Early Childhood Schools
Food allergy (FA) is a significant health concern affecting 5.6 million children in the US1 that typically presents as a child is introduced to new foods. The nine most prevalent food allergens among younger children are milk, peanut, egg, tree nut, shellfish, soy, fin fish, wheat, and sesame.1 Since dietary diversity tends to increase around the time children enter pre-K, it is critical early child care providers have the information necessary to manage existing or new food allergy reactions.
