The risk factors for food allergy in infants with atopic dermatitis
CONCLUSIONS: Serum total IgE levels, eosinophil counts and ratio, SCORAD index and EASI scores, IDQOL and FDLQ index, pruritus and sleep disturbance scores, and SoE scores were identified as risk factors for FA in infants with AD in this study. The SoE score is an important risk factor for FA in infants with AD. We recommend that the risk factors for FA in patients with AD guide the management of these patients.PMID:37114689 | DOI:10.24953/turkjped.2022.656

Occupational allergic diseases among harvesting fishermen at the open sea: a systematic review
CONCLUSION: Occupational allergic diseases in harvesting fishermen are described in developed countries, but few from countries with high number of fishermen, such as in Asia, and mostly include IgE mediated diseases. The presence of the healthy worker effect is probable. Atmospheric allergen concentration is a major risk factor for OA. Specific conditions, including cold air, fishes juice contact, salt water contact, are other risk factors. There is a need for investigating occupational allergic disease in all countries and developing specific studies on fishermen.PMID:37116652 | DOI:10.1016/j.anai.2023.04.018

Impact of PFAS exposure on prevalence of immune-mediated diseases in adults in the Czech Republic
CONCLUSION: Our results contribute to the body of literature that observes the immunosuppressive effect of PFAS exposure during eczemas and allergies, both for PFASs individually and as a mixture.PMID:37116680 | DOI:10.1016/j.envres.2023.115969
