Shengui Sansheng San Ameliorates Cerebral Energy Deficiency via Citrate Cycle After Ischemic Stroke
Conclusion In summary, SSS extraction significantly ameliorates cerebral energy metabolism via boosting citrate cycle, which mainly embodies the enhancements of blood glucose concentration, glucose and lactate transportation and glucose utilization, as well as the regulations of relative enzymes activities in citrate cycle. These ameliorations ultimately resulted in numerous ATP yield after stroke, which improved neurological function and infarcted volume. Myricetin against myocardial injury in rat heat stroke model.

Pulse pressure variation does not reflect stroke volume variation in mechanically ventilated rats with lipopolysaccharide-induced pneumonia.

The effect of positive end-expiratory pressure on stroke volume variation: an experimental study in dogs.
Abstract Stroke volume variation (SVV) may be affected by ventilation settings. However, it is unclear whether positive end-expiratory pressure (PEEP) affects SVV independently of the effect of driving pressure. We aimed to investigate the effect of driving pressure and PEEP on SVV under various preload conditions using beagle dogs as the animal model. We prepared three preload model, baseline, mild and moderate hemorrhage model. Hemodynamic responses during induction: comparison of Marsh and Schnider pharmacokinetic models.
CONCLUSIONS: When target concentrations are titrated according to NI during induction of anesthesia, Marsh's model could induce sedation faster than Schnider's. Meanwhile, hemodynamic changes were not observed to be statistically different between the two models.
