Conclusions In this needs assessment, Haitian physicians identified lack of support for clinical decision making, poor access to CME activities, limited professional development, and absence of employment opportunities as key areas of need in support of their clinical and professional work.

Teaching a Neurology Continuing Medical Education Course to Ghanaian Physician Assistants (P1.281)
Conclusions: The provision of education in the diagnosis and treatment of neurological conditions to primary care providers is one intervention that can address the limited supply of neurologists in lower income countries. Validation of a Teaching Effectiveness Assessment in Psychiatry Continuing Medical Education.
CONCLUSIONS: This study provides a new, validated measure of CME teaching effectiveness that could be used to improve psychiatry CME. In contrast to prior research in other medical specialties, CME teaching effectiveness scores were not associated with use of case-based or interactive presentations. This outcome suggests the need for distinctive considerations regarding psychiatry CME; a singular approach to CME teaching may not apply to all medical specialties. Continuing medical education and pharmaceutical industry involvement: An evaluation of policies adopted by Canadian professional medical associations.
CONCLUSION: These results suggest that Canadian PMAs' publicly available policies on industry involvement in CME are generally weak or non-existent; therefore, the accredited CME that is provided to Canadian physicians may be viewed as open to bias. Adapting continuing medical education for post-conflict areas: assessment in Nagorno Karabagh - a qualitative study
Conclusion: The qualitative research methods evaluation highlighted the fact that the health care human resources training should be closely linked to appropriate technologies, supplies, facilities and human resources available in post-conflict zones and identified the central importance of creating health professional networks and professional confidence among physicians in these zones. The qualitative research approach most effectively identifies these limitations and strengths and can directly inform the optimal adjustments for effective CME planning in these difficult areas of greatest need.

ConclusionsThis study shed light on the factors that influence learning and performance improvement in continuing education based on the review of routine practices in middle‐income settings. The Impact of Financial Disclosure on Attendee Assessment of Objectivity in Continuing Medical Education Programs in Psychiatry: A Randomized, Controlled Trial.
CONCLUSIONS: The major limitation of this study was an overall low level of bias in the presentations, making it difficult to generalize these findings to less objective programs. The study did not address whether the process of disclosure had an impact on speakers' behavior. Development and evaluation of a simulation-based continuing medical education course: beyond lectures and credit hours
Conclusions Simulation-based continuing medical education courses provide hands-on experiences that can positively affect clinical practice. Although our data appear to show a significant mismatch between clinical skill and simulator difficulty, these findings also underscore significant learning needs in the surgical community.

Is the formal quality of multiple choice questions used for continuing medical education influenced by guidelines for authors provided by the publishing houses?
CONCLUSIONS: The correlation between the existence of elaborate guidelines for authors and the absence of item-writing flaws in MCQs suggests that the publication of guidelines for authors could result in a higher quality of MCQs, even though the review process might have a major influence. Survey on knowledge, attitude and practice about blood donation among continuing medical education (CME) students in Sichuan province, China
This study was carried out on 841 continuing medical education students using a self-administered structured questionnaire. The statistical analysis was done by using the SPSS software.Among the 800 students, 424 were donors and 417 were non-donors The score of knowledge (mean11.71 ±2.22 VS 8.46±3.27) and attitude (mean 9.19±2.42 VS 7.08±2.02) in donors were statistically significant higher than the non-donors.

Knowledge, Attitudes, Beliefs and Practices of Physicians Regarding Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis and the Impact of a Continuing Medical Education Program.
