Admission thyroid function in relation to 90-day outcome of acute ischemic stroke
CONCLUSIONS: FT3 and TSH were negatively correlated with poor 90-day outcome in patients with AIS. Measurement of thyroid function on admission may provide independent prognostic information for 90-day outcome of AIS.PMID:37466064

The relationship of platelet-to-lymphocyte ratio with clinical outcome and final infarct core in acute ischemic stroke patients who have undergone endovascular therapy.
In this study we aimed to evaluate whether the PLR had a prognostic role in stroke patients undergoing thrombectomy and attempted to determine the effect that this ratio had on their survival. Impacts of Cigarette Smoking and Basilar Artery Flow on 1-year Recovery in 3-Month survivors of Intracranial Vertebrobasilar Artery Dissection-related Ischemic Stroke.

Total Small Vessel Disease Burden Predicts Functional Outcome in Patients With Acute Ischemic Stroke
Conclusion: Total SVD burden negatively associated with functional outcome at 3 months in patients with acute ischemic stroke and is superior to individual SVD feature in prediction of functional outcome. MRI-based assessment of total SVD burden is highly valuable in clinical management of stroke victims, and could help guide the allocation of resources to improve outcome.
