Digital Health Professions Education on Diabetes Management: Systematic Review by the Digital Health Education Collaboration
Conclusions: Digital education seems to be more effective than traditional education in improving diabetes management–related knowledge and skills. The paucity and low quality of the available evidence call for urgent and well-designed studies focusing on important outcomes such as health care professionals’ behavior, patient outcomes, and cost-effectiveness as well as its impact in diverse settings, including developing countries.

Diabetes education needs of Chinese Australians: A qualitative study
Conclusions: This qualitative study illustrates the complex and multifaceted challenges associated with diabetes management among Chinese Australians, and identifies many unique needs encountered by Chinese patients that were not addressed by the diabetes programme studied. There is an urgent need to identify optimal diabetes education models that will meet the needs of Chinese Australians.

The outcomes of peer-led diabetes education in comparison to education delivered by health professionals in Iranian patients
This study aimed to compare the effect of education by health care provider and peer on self-care behaviors among Iranian patients with diabetes. In this clinical randomized control trial, we enrolled 120 patients with type 2 diabetes who were referred to the Diabetes Clinic at a university medical center hospital in an urban area of Iran. To study the awareness of gestational diabetes mellitus in antenatal women, and medical and paramedical trainees in teaching hospital in North India
ConclusionAntenatal women had better knowledge than medical and paramedical trainees due to intensive education and counselling at every point of contact. Significant learning gaps exist in medical and paramedic trainees which need attention. For the advanced level of awareness, regular continued medical education programs are required.
