PPP1R12C Promotes Atrial Hypocontractility in Atrial Fibrillation
CONCLUSIONS: Patients with AF exhibit increased levels of PPP1R12C protein compared with controls. PPP1R12C overexpression in mice increases PP1c targeting to MLC2a and causes MLC2a dephosphorylation, which reduces atrial contractility and increases AF inducibility. ConclusionSignificantly abnormal vHIT results were rare in patients with acute PCS, even in the presence of DBS. Moreover, vHIT effectively differentiated dizziness between PCS and VN, highlighting its potential for aiding differential diagnosis of acute dizziness.

ConclusionFour months of adjunctive burstMCS was associated with an increase in parameters reflecting both total and parasympathetic autonomic modulation and baroreceptor reflex sensitivity. In contrast, sympathetic tone declined in our three patients, suggesting stimulation-associated improvement not only in subjectively perceived VAS pain scores, but also in objectifiable parameters of autonomic cardiovascular modulation.

Conclusion: The clinical use of DEX in stroke patients should be approached with caution, considering its inability to alleviate SAP symptoms and reduce the infarct area. Further research is necessary to fully understand the relationship between decreased CD3+ T cells and DEX’s influence on SAP.

Tizanidine induced hypotension: report of a case and review of literature
CONCLUSION: This patient highlights the need for close monitoring of patients receiving tizanidine co-medication with angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitors and angiotensin receptor blockers. This study eliminated low-risk syncope patients and those with non-syncope transient loss of consciousness, such as seizure and head trauma, using a structured approach in the emergency department (ED), with only high-risk syncope patients being admitted.
