Effects of predictive nursing intervention on cognitive impairment and neurological function in ischemic stroke patients
ConclusionPredictive nursing intervention is beneficial to improve the effects of thrombolytic therapy in patients with ischemic stroke, which improves the neurological, cognitive and motor functions of patients, and reduces the occurrence of complications, suggesting an important clinical application value.

Outcomes and Treatment Complications of Intravenous Urokinase Thrombolysis in Acute Ischemic Stroke in China
Conclusions: Patients treated with urokinase had similar outcomes but a higher risk of extracranial bleeding compared to patients treated with alteplase. The risk of extracranial bleeding was higher in the patients treated with high-dose urokinase than in the patients treated with low-dose urokinase. Patients who received low-dose urokinase had similar outcomes and complications compared to patients treated with alteplase. In countries such as China where some acute ischemic stroke patients cannot afford alteplase, urokinase may be a good alternative to alteplase for intravenous thrombolysis.

Safety and efficacy of intravenous thrombolytic treatment in wake ‐up stroke: Experiences from a single center
ConclusionsOur study demonstrated that in patients who awaken with stroke symptoms, intravenous thrombolytic treatment is a safe procedure that may lead to favorable outcomes. Further studies should be performed to increase the size of the group of patients with wake ‐up strokes who can be treated with reperfusion therapy.

Conclusion Our data suggest that women who suffer from IS present with a poorer functional outcome than men at 3-months, regardless of other preclinical and clinical factors during the acute phase. Incidence of orolingual angioedema after intravenous thrombolysis for stroke
DiscussionThe incidence of orolingual angioedema was very low in our series. Although OA is usually mild, anaphylactoid reactions may rarely occur, because of the variable degree of activation of the complement system and kinin cascade caused by alteplase. In such instances, admission to neurointensive care may be required. Specific bradykinin antagonists or drugs that target the kallikrein-kinin system are beginning to be used in the more severe cases. Thus, doctors and nurses caring for acute stroke patients need to be able to recognize and treat this complication.
