Synthesis, crystal structure and thermal properties of poly[[ μ -1,2-bis(pyridin-4-yl)ethene- κ 2N:N ′ - μ -bromido-copper(I)] 1,2-bis(pyridin-4-yl)ethene 0.25-solvate]
The reaction of copper(I) bromide with 1,2-bis(pyridin-4-yl)ethene in acetonitrile leads to the formation of the title compound, {[CuBr(C12H10N2)] · 0.25C12H10N2}n or CuBr(4-bpe) · 0.25(4-bpe) [4-bpe = 1,2-bis(pyridin-4-yl)ethene]. The asymmetric unit consists of one copper(I) cation and one bromide anion in general positions as well as two crystallographically independent half 4-bpe ligands and a quarter of a disordered 4-bpe solvate molecule that are completed by centers of inversion. The copper(I) cations are tetrahededrally coordinated as CuBr2N2 and linked by pairs of μ -1,1-bridging bromide anions into centrosymme...

Multiple roles of LncRNA-BMNCR on cell proliferation and apoptosis by targeting miR-145/CBFB axis in BMECs
Vet Q. 2023 Oct 9:1-13. doi: 10.1080/01652176.2023.2262525. Online ahead of print.ABSTRACTBovine mastitis is one of the most serious and costly disease affecting dairy cattle production, however, the key signaling molecules involved in the development and progression of Staphylococcus aureus (S. aureus) mastitis induce efficient expression of inflammatory responses has not yet been fully elucidated. The present study explored the inflammatory response and autoprotective mechanism of a novel specific high expression BMNCR (bovine mastitis related long non-coding RNA) in S. aureus induced mastitis by miR-145/CBFB axis in dai...

Response to a low-energy meal replacement plan on glycometabolic profile and reverse cardiac remodelling in type 2 diabetes: a comparison between South Asians and White Europeans
CONCLUSIONS: Compliance to the MRP was lower in SA versus WE. Overall, those completing the MRP saw improvements in weight, body composition and indices of glycaemic control irrespective of ethnicity. Whilst improvements in VAT and insulin resistance appear to be dampened in SA versus WE, given the small sample, larger studies are required to confirm or challenge this potential ethnic disparity.TRAIL REGISTRATION: NCT02590822.PMID:37811525 | PMC:PMC10559709 | DOI:10.1177/20420188231193231 (Source: Adv Data)

Durability of Near-Complete Skin Clearance in Patients with Psoriasis Using Systemic Biologic Therapies: Real-World Evidence from the CorEvitas Psoriasis Registry
ConclusionsAmong real-world patients with psoriasis who achieved PASI90 with biologic therapy, about one-quarter lost response at 6  months, and half lost response at 18 months. Prior use of a biologic therapy and clinically meaningful skin symptoms at index, including itch and skin pain, were associated with loss of treatment response. Therefore, dermatologists may consider focusing on patient-reported symptoms as part of any intervention designed to reduce the likelihood of loss of response to biologic therapies.Trial RegistrationClinicalTrials.gov identifier, NCT02707341. Clinical Features and Risk Factors of Post-COVID-19 Condition in Korea
CONCLUSIONS: More than a quarter of COVID-19 patients, including those who had no initial symptoms, experienced PCC in Korea. People with the initial symptoms of fever, chills, and respiratory symptoms and those who had prolonged hospital stays had a high risk of PCC.PMID:37735829 | DOI:10.3961/jpmph.23.124 (Source: Journal of Preventive Medicine and Public Health)
