Chances at podiatry school??
Hi! I need desperate advice… please no judgement just advice! I have a 3.1 undergrad gpa, 3.7 masters gpa in biomedical science and a 482 MCAT… what are my chances at getting into a podiatry school ?? Any advice will help! Shadowing question
I applied to dental schools and I got waitlisted at the one school that gave me an interview, so now it is time for me to think of a backup plan. I don't know much about the application process for podiatry school. Would anyone be able to tell me if shadowing a podiatrist is NECESSARY to get into podiatry school? Can anyone provide some tangible help getting a DPM shadow\letter?
You name it, I've done it. When I think I have a good lead, I usually get ghosted or I spend 30 mins on the phone being lectured on why its a bad idea, podiatry is dead, go to DO school, go to PA school, etc etc etc
I am in no way trying to be negative. I have good grades, I am, by the numbers, more than a solid applicant and podiatry is my first and only choice in terms of medical professions(85% DPM, 15% DC is my current mental standing). The fine people over on reddit supplied some help...

How to be competitive for residency as an international student?
Just finished my first semester of first year and obtained a 3.77 gpa, i anticipate to be around the top 10% of class based on talking to my classmates. Are good grades enough to get a good residency? I'm from Canada and plan on doing my residency somewhere in Michigan, preferably detroit or nearby cities. Any tips on what I should do from here? Nail techs

Working for a year before school
Is it worth it to take a year off to work before going to DPM school? I got a job that I'm really excited about (tissue harvester). It makes 30/hr. Would it be worth it to make money to pay for living expenses and get some experience working and develop good habits?
My parents are vehemently against me working, thinking I would give up on going back to school once I start making money. Or I could just accept the job offer and quit when DPM school starts? (Source: Student Doctor Network)

PLS logging question
When logging I've noticed that it limits you to a single "Foot category cases" per patient per encounter. For example, I logged a 1st MTPJ fusion and a weil osteotomy any only 1 of them counted towards the "foot category cases". I haven't hit the limit in either category.
IS this a glitch or is this normal? I can't find anything about such a limit (per patient) in a ABFAS document. (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Have a couple friends who have opted out out of Medicare/Medicaid and are doing some cash pay work, but ALSO work for 501c3 clinics where they treat Medicaid patients. The facilities were fine with it (them having already opted out of Medicare), and just took out another NPI in their name [emoji2369]
