Optimal timing of SARS-CoV-2 vaccination prior to cardiovascular surgery under cardiopulmonary bypass
CONCLUSIONS: Although 40% of the RBD-IgG titers reduce 1 day after CPB surgery, the patients who received the SARS-COV-2 vaccination within an 81-day window prior to the surgery maintained a desirable RBD-IgG level, even up to 1 month after surgery. It may be important to schedule the surgery no later than 81 days after the vaccination.PMID:38415725 | DOI:10.1177/03913988241234475 (Source: The International Journal of Artificial Organs)

Respiratory Syncytial Virus Vaccination in Older Adults: Considerations for Use and Shared Clinical Decision-Making
CONCLUSION: The introduction of RSVpreF3 and RSVpreF vaccines represents a significant advancement in the management of RSV in older adults. This article underscores the importance of shared clinical decision-making in vaccine administration and the effective coordination of an interprofessional team for coadministration with other vaccines. Tracking the immune response profiles elicited by the BNT162b2 vaccine in COVID-19 unexperienced and experienced individuals
Clin Immunol. 2024 Feb 26:110164. doi: 10.1016/j.clim.2024.110164. Online ahead of print.ABSTRACTMultiple vaccines have been approved to control COVID-19 pandemic, with Pfizer/BioNTech (BNT162b2) being widely used. We conducted a longitudinal analysis of the immune response elicited after three doses of the BNT162b2 vaccine in individuals who have previously experienced SARS-CoV-2 infection and in unexperienced ones. We conducted immunological analyses and single-cell transcriptomics of circulating T and B lymphocytes, combined to CITE-seq or LIBRA-seq, and VDJ-seq. We found that antibody levels against SARS-CoV-2 Spike, N...
