Humoral and cellular response of two different vaccines against SARS-CoV-2 in a group of healthcare workers: An observational study
J Immunol Methods. 2024 Mar 14;528:113665. doi: 10.1016/j.jim.2024.113665. Online ahead of print.ABSTRACTOn March 13, 2021, Tunisia started a widespread immunization program against SARS-CoV-2 utilizing different vaccinations that had been given emergency approval. Herein, we followed prospectively a cohort of participant who received COVID-19 vaccine (Pfizer BioNTech and Sputnik-Gameleya V). The goal of this follow-up was to define the humoral and cellular immunological profile after immunization by assessing neutralizing antibodies and IFN- γ release. 26 vaccinated health care workers by Pfizer BioNTech (n=12) and Sputn...

Lichen planus triggered by COVID-19 vaccination: A case series
We present a case series of lichen planus that appeared after receiving the COVISHIELD vaccine from Oxford-AstraZeneca. In order to rule out any further potential triggers, like recent infections, prior drug use, smoking, dental treatments, etc., a thorough history was collected in each instance. Skin biopsies were used to confirm each case's diagnosis. In nearly all of the cases, skin biopsies revealed typical dermatopathological features of lichen planus.PMID:38482327 | PMC:PMC10931865 | DOI:10.4103/jfmpc.jfmpc_664_23 (Source: Primary Care)

Recurrence of non-sexually acquired acute genital ulceration following COVID-19 vaccination
We report a case of non-sexually acquired acute genital ulceration that initially presented in 2008 as Lipschutz labial ulcers associated with acute Epstein-Barr virus infection, with recurrence twelve years later following administration of the second dose of the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine. This case report and exhaustive literature review challenges widely accepted views regarding the typical age range of patients affected by non-sexually acquired acute genital ulceration, the sexual history of affected populations, the pathophysiology of lesion occurrence, and possibility of lesion recurrence.PMID:38478671 | DOI:1...
