2023-2024 MD/PhD Interview format question
Hi everyone, Has information been made public about how MSTP interviews are going to be conducted? It may help having a summary of how things work for those who are newbies and noting any post-pandemic changes in procedure for this year. I don't know if MSAR does a great job with this information. Basically: Are your MD/PhD programs doing virtual, in-person, or hybrid? If your MD program requires or recommends SJT's like Acuity Insights Casper/Duet, PREview, SVI, or Kira Talent... WAMC? High GPA very low experience
Hello all, I was hoping for your honesty. I have been working on my vet school app and really realized how little experience I have. I concentrated on my GPA and settling in during my first quarter at UC Davis and then the COVID-19 pandemic hit in my second quarter, so I didn’t get many opportunities there. At community college I strongly regret not doing extracurriculars, but I had extreme social anxiety/undiagnosed autism. I was homeschooled K-12 (explains the social anxiety lol) so I’m... Promoting Leadership Training in Podiatry
In the United States, there are over 4 million nurses and 150,000 PAs, while podiatrists amount to only 20,000. When we consider the numbers, it becomes clear that there exists a significant discrepancy in representation. Despite having comparable education to our esteemed MD/DO counterparts, podiatrists face a narrow scope of practice compared to other professions with less training. These professions are actively pushing for legislation to expand their practice scope, and the pandemic has... Read more (Source: Student Doctor Network)

when/if to disclose a pass/fail course during covid-19
heyo! just wondering if i should address a class i chose to pass/fail back in spring 2020 when the pandemic first started. i was planning on mentioning/explaining it for schools with covid prompts, but should i also be bringing it up in secondaries with no covid prompt in the "anything else" or optional essays? i'm just not sure about where pass/fail during covid lands on the needs-to-be-explicitly-addressed scale. thanks!
