Cheat sheet for mixing drips/bags?
Pharmacy friends. I'm an ED resident and looking to see if any of you have a handy cheat sheet on how to mix up various critical drips. Talking during induction
What do you guys tell nurses , techs, and surgeons who talk while you’re inducing patient. It’s my pet peeve when people aren’t quiet while you’re putting the patient to sleep. Basically none of the patients at my home hospital speak English, and the whole place is just wearing me down
My home hospital is a safety net hospital in a very poor area with a large number of refugees. The patient population is extremely poor, and even the simplest CHF patient has a laundry list of extra tasks related to their socioeconomic limitations. Everyone, from the residents to the nurses, is worn down and unfriendly. I've been rotating through various services in this hospital for 12 weeks now and I'm just absolutely beat. How ’s that expansion going?
I see a lot of job postings saying that the hospital is planning on site expansions and needing to recruit.
I don’t understand how all of these health care centers are all planning to expand their OR capacity. There are not enough anesthesiologists or CRNAs, not enough nurses. Are there even enough surgeons/proceduralists for all of this increasing capacity?
Job markets are supposed to be local but I would say the shortage of healthcare workers is national and yet all the C suite guys...
